I started taking Remifemin when I was 48, which was the year I had my last period. I have now been taking it for 6 years. I only take one a day now and plan on going off it completely soon. My menopause was bad, hot flashes every ten minutes, 24 hrs a day, sometimes so bad I would get red from ankles and wrists then spread up to my body. These would last about one hour. Luckily I did not have to ...

AFTER 12 YEARS OF HOT FLASHES,HRT,AND EVERYTHING NATURAL REMIFEMIN WAS USELESS.The only guarantee is HRT and as I don,t want to take this anymore,I am now looking at Harmony supplements and if this fails I will go to a naturopath and if this fails I am back on HRT, so Remifemin is to me useless.

My girlfriend recommended this product for me for a year and finally I have bought it. My menopause has mainly being emotional hardly any hot flushes just wicked as mood swings . I would cry at a drop of a hat. I resigned from a well paid job that had me crying most days. Since I have been taking this product I feel like a new woman. It has virtually bought me back to feeling normal again. I guess like a lot of things it works for some and not for others I am pleased to say it has worked for me.Read More Read Less

I stated taking this for severe hot flashes caused by breast Cancer medications. They were useless. I kept taking them (2 months) in the hope of relief. Again useless, Then I read a report in the Journal of Oncolcogy. In blind studies black cohash had the same effectiveness as a placebo which was 4%.

Wish I could be as positive as the others on here. I've taken it for two months, one pill daytime and one at night. Still have horrendous hot flashes day and night. Hasn't helped at all.

Had a hyterectomy in July with one ovary left to keep from going into surgical menopause. Needless to say some thing is not right, I feel very sad, emotional...tried estrodial and celexa and what a mess those were. Wow... No thanks! This stuff has made a difference feel much better and it's only been a few days. Glad I tried it...Hope it continues.

I went to the doctor when I first started menopause. Mine was more moodiness then hot flashes. She put me on something that I felt drugged all the time. Happened to read about this and quit the meds and took this for a year and a half till I started feeling normal without it. Now daughter is taking it and she is pleased also.

Luckily I did not have to many of these. Dizziness, lightheadness, heart palpitations so bad sometimes It would wake me up. I would yell at the dog to quit moving the bed several times, turn on the light and the dog was sound asleep and I would realize it was my heart beating that hard in my chest. This product was my savior and made it so much easier to function. I could not have handled it without it. I live in Florida so it was especially brutal for me. I did gain about 15 pounds, but I do not blame Remifemin. I went from127 at age 44 to now weighing 142 at menopause, age 54. On average most women will gain 10 to 15 pds during this time. I had a naturopath tell me that it is 5 years into Menopause, when you have your last period, and then 5 years out past that mark. After that you should lose the weight you gained once things settle down. I sure hope so. I have pants I can get on but not zip. LOL! Holding on to them with hope of being able to wear them again. I have told several friends and it is helping them also. I truly believe in the product. Good luck to you all. I am happy to be through it. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel. After one month of taking this product, I experienced 90% reduction in all menopausal symptoms. No more hot flashes, even moods, no more anxiousness. I've been taking this more than one year, and I do notice I get "on edge" if I forget to take a dose. My routine is one tablet in the a.m., and one table in the p.m. My mom told me about Remifemin, and she took it successfully for 3 years, eventually able to take one tablet a day, then one half tablet until able to stop taking it for side effects. I recommend this product to everyone who asks! Read More Read Less

I'm 56 and started taking Remifemin after suffering from menopausal symptoms for over a year. I had tried Estroven and it did not help. My doctor suggested black cohosh. I've been taking Remifemin for almost 3 months now. For the first 2 months it worked great. Hot flashes started diminishing to the point that there was none during the whole day (I was having more than 10 hot flashes a day). No side effects, maybe a bit of weight gain but I'm not sure it was due to it. Unfortunately, when the 3rd month began and I started the second box of Remifemin, everything started coming back - the hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, fatigue. It is really frustrating because I thought I had found a solution. I'm still taking my second box hoping that it will pick up again and I won't have to find another alternative. I'm keeping my fingers crossed...Read More Read Less

Really helped the hot flashes and night sweats I was having when I began treatment a year ago. Then about a month ago, the night sweats & hot flashes returned, worse than ever. Also, I ended up in the hospital with unexplained chest pains, shortness of breath & a surge in blood pressure (185/105) which is normally very low. I also had weight gain (15 lbs) and severe bloating. Remifemin was the only drug I was taking at the time. Since then I have discontinued use and feel much better--no more chest pains. Plus I am losing the weight easily (I'm eating exactly the same as before, so I know this drug was causing me to gain the weight). The amazing thing is that my hot flashes and night sweats that had returned have much improved since I stopped taking remifemin. Please be aware that this drug may help initially with the hot flashes and sweats, but for some, the side effects are certainly not worth it! Be careful!Read More Read Less

After a month or so it made me sick enough to go to the ER. Chest pains, upper and / or lower back pains, massive headaches, muscle pain and soreness and abdomen pain just to name a few. Thought I was having a heart attack at times.

I am a 49 year old that started suffering from hot flashes and night sweats about 10 years ago. Then approximately 2 years ago the night sweats and severe mood changes were drastically effecting my sleep and my life. My gynecologist recommended Remifemin because of it's purity and effectiness. I have been taking it for 1 1/2 years. For the first year, it worked like a miracle drug with no problems at all and no hot flashes, night sweats or severe moodiness. But, the last 6 months it does not seem to be helping the menopausel symptoms at all. I am now having hot flashes and night sweats worse than ever. I quess it is time for HRT.Read More Read Less

I have been extrememly satisfied with remifemin. My gyn would not put me on hommones because my mother had breast cancer. I was having a trerrible time. Night sweats and day sweats. About 2-3 an hour. Losing sleep at night. I started this on advice of nurse in gyn office and after 3 weeks I can say I no longer have hot flashes. I might have a few warm power surges, maybe 1 or 2 a day. I am very happy with this. I have taken this for 5 weeks now.
