This drug has been effective, but left my knees feeling full, if that makes sense. I still can't kneel on them yet. I guess the pain is less, but now I'm getting other pain under my knee caps. So the jury is still out for me. I'd take anything - just trying to prolong replacements.

I HAVE ONE MORE SHOT TO COMPLETE THE 5 THAT WERE SUGG BY MY SURGEON. UNDERGOING DEPRESSION. I AM 40YRS OLD AND FEEL 70. I CANT WALK. EVEN SLEPPING AT NIGHT IS HORRIBLE. I HAVE CONSTANT PAIN, SADLY MORE THEN BEFORE I STARTED THE "TREATMENT". I WOULD NEVER RECOMM IT TO ANYONE. I AM USING A WALKER TO HELP SUPPORT MY STEPS, TOTAL MESS. THE INJECTIONS ARE VERY PAINFUL.I WISH I HAD NEVER HAD THEM DONE.

I am trying to put off knee replacement as long as possible & have gotten Supartz injections for 3 years every 6 mos. My knee feels great til about 3 weeks before time for the next round. The other injectables do not work for me but Supartz keeps me walking & riding my horse. Its a miracle drug in my mind.

I began to feel relief after the 2nd injection. Had a total of 5 over a 5 week period. Pain free; best decision I ever made! It has been 10 months and the only time I have knee pain is if I stand or shop for long periods of time. Ride a bike for exercise which is much better than walking!

I have had 5 injections in one knee and waiting for insurance approval to have it in other knee. The knee that was injected feels so much better. It has only been two weeks since my last injections so I have my fingers crossed it will last as long as it did for others.

My knees feel as though they have a heavy "load" in them. I have a terrible time getting up after I have been sitting for even a short period of time> I am an Accountant. I sit a lot. It feels like I have a big wad of "play dough" in my knees. I am VERY dissatisfied and disappointed.

It took up to six weeks to fully feel the effect of the (3) injections. It relieved most of my symptoms. If I over-exert,(ie. arobics, jumping, running, extended walking) I'm in pain and need to ice my knee.

I had a left knee replacement 15 years previously that began to pain due to the titantium inset rubbing on the knee cap. Cortisone injection was ineffective so physician suggested trying Supartz. I had 5 injections and got tremendous results with about a 90+% decrease in pain. Lasted 3 months so far -- hope it lasts forever.

I suffer from OS in left knee, close to severe. To young for knee replacement to tried Supartz. First series of 5 injections, once a week, noticed some difference for a couple of month's but then symptoms returned. Knee pain and swelling was much less initially but later came back but not as severe. 6 months later, did 2nd set of injections; 5 injections one a week. Much better results, no swelling and pain throughout the entire 6 months. Did a third set of injections 6 months later and have noticed a huge difference, in fact walked more on vacation that I had in years and was just fine. Knee is still stiff but I have much more mobility than I had before. It worked for me. I admit after the first round of injections I felt hope as it seemed better and was then disappointed because it didn't last. I was told everyone reacts differently but generally there is marked im provement after the 2nd set of shots and there was. Just happy it has worked well for me, no more swelling and no more pain.Read More Read Less

I am very disappointed. Previously I felt weakness in my knees due to loss of cartlidge. I really did not have unbearable pain. Actually I only had pain a day or two prior to a storm coming in. Now, after 5 injections, I can barely get up or down; my knees feel wobbly and overall my walking is poor, and I use a cane for fear of falling. I don't know what to do next. I hate to think of surgery.

I have some bone-on-bone issues, and completed the series of 5 injections about 2 months ago. The injections were just slightly uncomfortable - mainly a little pressure, no real pain. Unfortunately, the treatment has been only marginally effective. I still have a lot of discomfort, and my surgeon says the only option is a knee replacement, which I am delaying as long as possible!

I have had 3 injections in each knee in the past 3 months. I never fully had any relief or reduction of the stiffness and pain. I continue to work with a PT working on strengthening my core and surrounding areas. I have good days and some really bad days. The mornings are difficult as the stiffness is worst. I have taken anti inflammatory drugs and those also served no relief. I am doing research on cell therapy but its my understanding it is not covered by insurance and quite expensive.I am a very active 62 year old male who will continue to look for solutions versus opting for knee replacement.Read More Read Less

I was in agony with my right knee. X-rays showed almost bone-on-bone, but I had a thin layer of cartilage left. In my mid-fifties, I thought that I was going to have to quit working (I have a job that is physically demanding) and go on disability, with a knee replacement as my only way to be able to have any quality of life. I went from being extremely active to laying in bed every minute that I could. Supartz literally gave me my life back. Yes, the needle is scary and has some pain, but I used to barely be able to walk by the end of the day. The pain was never below an 8 (on a 10 scale). Even strong pain medication barely put a dent in the suffering I was feeling. It took almost 4 weeks before I started to feel relief from the Supartz, but after 6 weeks or so it was like night and day. When I had any pain, it was at the most a 3 on a 10 scale. But I really was only having pain when I truly overdid it. Unfortunately for me it was fully wearing off by the 8th month, and I waited too long to go back to the doctor so I had to endure a couple of months of the severe pain (it came back in full force) waiting on the approval from my insurance company and then another week or so to be shipped to my doctor after approval. It took a few weeks of shots before the relief started, and once it did it worked even better than the last time. I am now in my 7th month and my doctor ordered the next round so I don't have to go through that pain again (it is starting to creep in). Also, my doctor told me that some patients' insurance has lately quit covering them, and they are expensive. If my company quits covering them, I would have to find a way to pay for them. For arthritic knees, this is truly worth trying, because if they work for you like mine have, your whole life will change.Read More Read Less

no noticble improvments after 5 sets of 1 shot to each knee. depo medrol did more and last longer with 1 shot each nee every 90 days! And cost $4,300.00 less! Supartz gave me no relief at all.

Osteoarthritis caused severe pain....doc suggest I try the injections of Supartz and that some of his patients had good results. I took series of 4 shots in late 2009 and enjoyed over three years of substantial pain relief. Recently the pain has returned and I will try the treatment again.

While Supartz does not appear to work for everyone, it has helped me and I would recommened it to anyone who has knee problems. I can walk again!
