I HAVE TAKEN THIS DRUG FOR GOING ON 5 YEARS I AM NOW UP TO 280 PILLS A MONTH, THIS IS THE MOST ADDICTIVE PILL I HAVE EVER TAKEN; ITS SEEMS TO BE A MIRACLE DRUG AT FIRST BECOUSE OF THE HIGHTEND FEELING AFTER TAKING IT. BUT THE WITHDRAWLS FROM THIS PILL IS NOT WORTH THE RELIEF

My doctor replaced Celebrex with this and it works so much better to relieve severe lower back pain. I do notice a little nausea about 30 minutes after taking it, but it passes quickly. It has, however, made my appetite completely vanish. I have to really remember to eat. I was hoping it would help me sleep, but at least it takes the pain mostly away and that's great. And I can stand up and walk again and that is amazing!

After taking one Ultracet (with food,) I had a severe reaction of vomiting for over 10 hours, and was taken to the ER, requiring an IV with anti-emetics. I had a similar reaction to Rybix, which is also Tramadol. I am now listing Tramadol as an allergy, as I am unable to handle this medication. I do have a sensitive stomach to medications, so please be aware!

Chronic back pain. Physical therapy and naproxen 4 pills a day helped, but tramadol makes you forget about it. Take 50mg at 4 pm else cant sleep without klonopin. Works much better than antidepressants like the cymbalta I took and the pristiq I'm taking on mood. Makes me feel like a normal, non-depressed person for awhile - but fear of addiction and the fact I don't want to take a pill every day to make me feel normal makes me nervous. But for now with job depression and panic attacks, I'll take the chance for a month or two. Read More Read Less

For some reason, my body starts to hurt worst about 10 minutes after I take my Ultracet; but gradually calms down and takes away about 80% of the pain. I continue to take it because I dont want the real-strong pain medication. I wont change unless I am given something safer than what I am taking that gets rid of the pain.

I've been taking it for about 4 years and it works for me, when nothing else would. I'm on disability for an assortment of bone and muscle problems. I was at my wit's end when doctor gave me this and I was so relieved. I notice it helps my mood, which is kind of scary since I dont want to be addicted, I only take 1-2 a day so I will be okay going off of it when I decide to do so..in the colder months I may need to take more occasionally. I'm wondering if it is the cause of the hot flashes I am having now...would like to know if anyone else found this happening.Read More Read Less

I have severe headaches, black out spells, daily dizzyness, diarrhea, severe sweatting, blurred vision, memory issues, tingling. I have been on it for 7 months but it is the only thing the drs will prescribe despite the side effects. It takes the pain from a 10 to a 7. Considering all the side effects I have and they are magnified when there is a break in the refils and I have none, enough to send me to the ER from blacking out in my vehicle and suffering heat exhaustion. Thank God I was in the parking lot and not driving. Read More Read Less

I get cervicogenic headaches so my dr. prescribed Ultracet for me to treat the pain until I get a neurostimulator next month as a permanant fix. I've been taking this med as needed over the past 2 months or so. It doesn't make my headache go away, but it does lessen the intensity. I perfer taking it over Percocet because I can still function at work with the ultracet. This has been a great "in-between" med for me. As an added bonus, it seems to help with my Fibromyalgia pain as well.

I only take Ultracet as needed for back and neck pain as I have chronic pain problems, especially with the back however I don't take it everyday because I feel that's too much medication to be taking but I must say it works well and I've felt no side effects but that's me, everyone is different so anyone reading this with any questions should talk to their doctor.
