Since I've been using it, I've felt weird. It does something to my lungs and every morning I wake up coughing too much like if my lungs are trying to kick out the medicine. The side effects are terrible. I am scared to use it!

3 or 4 years ago I started coughing a lot when cycling outdoors and when I was done. It would aggravate my airways and later I would wind up coughing at night and waking up during the night taking coughing fits. The doctor indicated that Ventolin would help reduce or completely eliminate the coughing I was experiencing. Almost immediately it made things better. I only use it when needed (cold weather or if until I find I no longer cough at all when exercising).

During the winter months I get severe "wheezing" especially lying down in bed...My doctor had a chest X-ray done before prescribing me this, chest X-ray ( Thank God) was "clean". This is the 1st winter I have been on it and it's helped substantially.

Only used this for less than one week. Developed a rash and itching so I had to discontinue use. It was difficult to figure out which medication was causing the rash as this is a side effect of some other meds I am taking. Finally narrowed it down to the inhaler. Back to the doctor for me.

I was prescribed this drug because proventol/albuterol causes a severe allergic reaction leaving me with an even more severe asthma attack. Although my asthma is not worse after taking this drug I still have negative side effects with it. Sinus infections this time.

Maybe I could have given a higher rating But I do Not have anything to compare with. I use it before riding my bicycle (inside) 2 puffs. It does help and I can ride longer. I have not noticed any bad side effect.Atena does not PAY THERE PART. The counter is a real nice extra.

It says that it may cause heart palpitations, which I experienced. It scared me at first. When I felt my pulse I could feel my heart randomly speed up or "flutter". I also felt very lightheaded the first 10-20 minutes after inhaling. But overall I was please and it helped me recover from my bronchitis.

This was my first time using Ventolin or any puffer. It worked well, opening my airway more and preventing coughing. After my 1st day of use, however, I got a severe leg cramp in my R calf muscle in bed in the morning.
