I have been on this medication for 6 years. I started out on premarin, and had headaches, with nervousness. Doctor tried me on Clamira 0.05mg. And it was wonderful. Made me feel like my old self again. I like the idea of taking a low dose of hormone. And this one of the lowest they make. Plus no pill to take. Change patch once a week and I'm good to go. Be sure when you put it on that you rub for ...

Hello..I have not even begun to take my hrt..i was prescribed the pill, premarin cream and the patch..not all to be used of course. I am very leery about using any H rt. It seems there Re so many dangers. Breast cancer, stroke, heart attack. I do have all the menopausal symptoms. I have 1 remaining ovary. I'm also on a weight loss program. And as bad as it sounds I do not want to gain any weight. ...

I was on Dotti 0.05 after switching from tablets, and my levels dropped. But I wasn't too worried, it was basically "let's up the dose, and it'll be ok". If only. Upon switching to a different patch with a higher dose, for longer wear.... It STILL dropped. The manufacturer in question is Mylan. Mylan, your generic patch dropped my levels. It refused to stay, no matter what I did. sweat would build under it. It would come off in the shower. Taping it should've helped but it didn't. Mylan, your patches are terrible, and you need to make it right by your customers. I'm switching back to tablets because you have RUINED patches for me. I'm now terrified of anything going wrong ever again with them. I can't afford anything else. How can my T levels be almost DOUBLE 3 months after a hormone level test and medication switch, and my E levels be LOWER, with double blockers and a higher patch dose of 0.075mg instead of 0.5? Mylan, that's how. Thank you for ruining my 2nd E-versary. Read More Read Less

I've been on the Mylan generic brand for the past 9mos. The first set worked great. Eliminated hot flashes, brain fog, issues with concentration and insomnia. But recently I noticed the symptoms coming back in addition to a horrible rash where the patch is. The itching and irritation to skin is very bad. I've tried using hydrocortisone cream and spray which doesn't calm or prevent the itch and irritation. I've tried moving the patch from my lower belly to upper buttock - makes no difference same itchiness and irritation. I suspect Mylan may have made changes to the adhesive they use which is causing the skin issues. Read More Read Less

My prescription was recently changed from Climara to Mylan. This patch is a joke--hot flashes and sleepless nights came back in no time. At first, I had no clue what was wrong was wrong with me until I recognized the symptoms. Contacted my gyn to re-subscribe Climara. Can you notify the FDA?

Been on Mylan brand for 2 years. Love it. Haven't had the issues with non adhesion. Just make sure the area is clean and you haven't just applied lotion. Only time I've had any issue us when I'm wearing pants that are too tight, like jeans that don't like to stay above my bloated belly. Recently my pharmacy has not been able to get Mylan.. So far I've tried 2 other, adhesive sucks and the hot flashes are back and the newest one I'm on makes me greasy and I'm assuming that I am unable to absorb the dosage. This is something that you need to make sure you are watching. Not all brands are the same when it comes to how your body absorbs... Going to go and pick up another box of Mylan before my next dose... One note I will add to whomever has itchy spots from the mylan brand. Make sure you're moving the patch around and not placing in the same spot. Give each spot about 1 week from having anything there. Read More Read Less

I chose to take the estradiol patch as an alternative to the antidepressant drugs that doctors so easily prescribe for low mood/depression caused by the decrease in estrogen during menopause. I have been Menopausal for over 2 years and had been experiencing sadness, low mood, irritability and aggression, brain fog, weight gain and insomnia. This product is very easy to use and apply. The patch stays on through showering and even during swimming ! I do not get a rash from the patch and change the location regularly as the instructions recommend. The adhesive circle that remains on my skin afterwards is the most annoying feature of the patch but I remove it with nail polish remover which works well. I did get some annoying 'menstrual cramps' and bleeding during the second month of taking the patch, but I think I was just adjusting to the estrogen. I am hoping the cramping and bleeding won't return. I haven't had a hot flash since using this product and I have had no other negative effects so far. Overall, I found my mood improved a lot while using the patch and so did my sleep. I will definitely continue to use this product to help continue to relieve the difficulties and negative symptoms I was experiencing with the onset of Menopause.Read More Read Less

I used to be on my Santos estradiol patch for some reason the insurance company switched to this company called Mylan? it is horrible they don’t stay on they’re huge and visible I have to use surgical tape to get them to stay on and that’s after I use alcohol swabs to dry and clean the area hoping for a better outcome and nothing works!! my estrogen levels are not stable now I want to go back to my old brand! someone should be investigating this company! The old brand there were no fluctuations in my hormones and I felt great no headaches all that stuff now I feel like A hormonal mess! why the switch why the horrible brand?? Read More Read Less

Previously I had used the Sandoz brand of estradiol patch, and had no problems with adhesion. I recently picked up a refill and noticed the brand had be switched to Mylan, the Mylan patch is significantly larger than the Sandoz brand, The Sandoz patch was a small oval thin clear patch just a little bigger than a quarter, the Mylan patch is the size of silver dollar and thick, like a foam bandage. After only wearing the Mylan patch for 2 days it is already lifting around the edges, there is no way it will stay on for another 5 days. Read More Read Less

The huge, puffy patch does not stay on, which affects the medication I’m receiving. Although the patch doesn’t stick, the residual glue is extremely difficult to remove. The moisture that is under the loose patch is causing skin sores. My other brand of patch did not have these issues.

Taking for GAHT and have been given two different brands over the years because I hated injections.. They stay on, just eliminate any oils with alcohol pad first! They are effective and do the job.

I have used this brand of patch for ~3 years now, and have recently had a batch that is ineffective, making me suspicious of this company's quality control. My symptoms were fully controlled earlier this year when I got a new box and started noticing my symptoms were returning. Happened to still have an older box of an earlier lot number, so tried those and boom, symptoms gone. Go back to the "bad" lot number - symptoms returned. Tried putting on two patches from the "bad" lot. Got some control of symptoms but still not like normal. My mail order pharmacy was USELESS with this matter, so I'm stuck having to ask my doctor to order the brand name instead and pay $100+ a month instead of the $11 or so these cost. But I guess that is how it works in American health care.Read More Read Less

They switched and I started taking Mylan for about two months. The itching, the sliding off, stick that you can see it through clothing and not to mention how big it is on my black rear end. Now they switch me back to Estradiol patch. It’s not too big, clear And it doesn’t itch. Good riddance.

I have used a hormone patch for a decade and recently went from Vivelle dot to Mylans. It turns the skin under the patch red and raw. Then when I remove it, the area gets rough and crusty. Then it itches The area takes somewhere between 24 to 48 hours to start clearing up. Not satisfying and useless because it can’t stay on long enough to work.

It's a big, thick patch. Sweat collects underneath, so it gets very itchy after a day or so. Doesn't stay on. The glue migrates to edges and comes out, also itchy and irritating. Not convinced it really works, as I'm having hot flashes. The climara patch worked well for me. This mylan product should not be considered an alternative at all. It may be significantly cheaper, but it's not worth the trouble.

Pharmacy switched me out of the blue from Sandoz to Mylan patch. Was using Sandoz without issue for 18 months. I have no issues with the Mylan patch coming off, but as others have mentioned, it’s huge and looks like a giant piece of moleskin. My biggest issue is that I’m having hot flashes again, my insomnia has returned, and I’m feeling more anxious. Plan to talk to Gyno about requesting Sandoz.

My prescription provider recently changed from Sandoz to Mylan. I used the Sandoz for 19 years without a problem. The Sandoz patch is a thin film like scotch tape. The Mylan patch is big and THICK--thicker than the pad of about 2 bandaids, or maybe best compared to moleskin that's used for blisters. It moves a bit and gets caught on my underwear and then comes off. I'm very unhappy.

The patch was recently changed from a small clear patch to one 8-9x its size; the new, unsightly patch requires surgical tape to keep it in place! And my age range isn't even a choice here!!
