I have been on this medication for 6 years. I started out on premarin, and had headaches, with nervousness. Doctor tried me on Clamira 0.05mg. And it was wonderful. Made me feel like my old self again. I like the idea of taking a low dose of hormone. And this one of the lowest they make. Plus no pill to take. Change patch once a week and I'm good to go. Be sure when you put it on that you rub for ...

Hello..I have not even begun to take my hrt..i was prescribed the pill, premarin cream and the patch..not all to be used of course. I am very leery about using any H rt. It seems there Re so many dangers. Breast cancer, stroke, heart attack. I do have all the menopausal symptoms. I have 1 remaining ovary. I'm also on a weight loss program. And as bad as it sounds I do not want to gain any weight. ...

I had to have a full hysterectomy due to tumors. Which put me into menopause. Was put on Estradiol Transdermal System twice a week. Used patches along with vaginal cream faithfully. So far this patch has not worked for me. Intercourse with my husband is very very painful. Was hoping reading these reviews would help me understand and not feel like I am the only women this is happening to. Sad to say it seems like the only problem these women have is a small rash and problems getting patch to stick. Not trying to make it seem like these problems don't matter. Was wanting and praying for answers. The reviews were more focused on the side effects rather than information on how it has helped these women. My Dr. never discussed with me how painful intercourse would be and that may be that way for the duration. Going on 4 years now. Just looking for answers and praying for a solution.Read More Read Less

I have been on this patch for two years now. I much prefer Vivelle because it was so superior - it stayed on much easier and longer than this patch. I've been on estrogen since my full hysterectomy 7 years ago. Side effects for me is definitely weight gain.

I have experienced a decrease in the intensity of my hot flashes. I've gained 20lbs in the month and a half since I starting using this patch. The patch itches and burns and leaves a rash. I've only used it on my upper buttock. I am afraid to place it on my stomach.

Used on my bottom. Felt great. After about 18 months started developing rash under patch off and on, then came the edema, then severe back pain and finally debilitating pelvic pain. It wasn't until I stopped using it because of the rashes that I realized it was all connected. Two weeks after stopping it all was normal. Went back to pill and lower estrogen with night sweats. At least the pain is gone.

Caused a very itchy rash when applied to my abdomen after only 2 days. Switched to upper buttock and after 4 days another very itchy rash. Does not say on well. Rashes took 2 weeks to calm down and disappear even after treating them.

I've been using this product for 4 years after a complete hysterectomy. It does what it's supposed to do, however, since I've started using it, I've gained 30+ lbs and I constantly have headaches. Two of the major side effects, but it's better than menopause at 36.

Original large round patch worked well and was easy to use. Recently it was replaced with a smaller oblong patch that is hard to apply and will not stay on. Also causes rashes on the abdomen.

I was switched to this patch after using the Vivelle Dot for years. I am so hot now and the patch doesn't stay on. If you don't catch it before it comes off and you lose it, you find yourself needing a new one. I don't like this patch and have called the pharmacist to be sure I can pay the higher price and go back to my original patch!!

depending on the manufacture depends on if the patch stays on. If it's more of a styrofoam patch then I can do anything with it without it falling off. But if it's the clear patches they move around and my symptoms start coming back. But I like the patch over taking pills.

I started using this patch after hormonal changes due to a benign brain tumor surgery near my pituitary gland. At first the patch didn't stay on at all. As time went on it seems to stay on longer after showers and making sure to repress the edges to make it stay. Over time I have developed rashes on the areas it has been applied to but they slowly disappear. Side effects I've noticed are clear breast discharge, extreme lower back pain, nervousness, lack of concentration (more than usual), irritability, weight gain and restlessness. Read More Read Less

I had a total hysterectomy 7 years ago for uterine cancer. I started out using the Vivelle Dot which was great but now that I can get it Generic it's better due to cost. I still get hot flashes but they are very weak. I rub my skin site with rubbing alcohol before each use and have had no problems with it coming off, EVER! The only problem I'm having now is finding a Medicare Part D that carries this generic brand. I've only found that they carry the Brand. I'll keep looking have to have it by May.Read More Read Less

I changed to the generic patches hoping to save some money and ended up wasting $60. The patches are huge and do not stay on at all. I would apply on Monday and by Wednesday it was falling off. I have worn the Vivelle Dot for 4 years and never had this problem. I will gladly spend $100 for a quality product. If you are used to the Minivelle or Vivelle Dot be prepared for a hockey puck sized patch that is thicker than a bandaid and pulls away daily.

I use the Estradiol patch and have had no side effects except for some breast tenderness. When I change the patch I wipe the new area with an alcohol pad first and it sticks great!

I have been using this patch for almost 3 years after a total hysterectomy. The patch did not stay on for more than 2 days on my lower tummy. I switched and started wearing on the top of my bottom. Have not had any issues with it staying on all week. Last week I changed back to my tummy and broke out in a terrible rash where the patch was. It was awful. Going to try it on my backside again and hope I don't get a rash again!

Complete hysterectomy 16 yrs ago, taken 2mg estradiol tablet every day since surgery but vaginal dryness caused mild discomfort so my OBGYN thought that delivering less estrogen, another way was a good idea. However, this .1 mg generic patch is thick, won't stay on, and the trapped moisture under it itches. Breast tenderness and "vjj" swelling not acceptable side effects, want my tablet back. Hate the patches, I've used three in 1.2 weeks because the adhesive is not strong enough; must find another way to deliver the estradiol, another office visit, another $35, another RX, yuck. I'm going back to the tablets, the heck with the itchy, no stick, p.i.a. patches. Read More Read Less

Switched from vaginal cream to the patch. I love it ! It stays on, does not irritate my skin. I can honestly say I am feeling normal... Climara is a God send.

using 0.025 vivelle dot patch for low estrogen and associated severe PMS. Feel a lot better, mood swings have subsided considerably. the only side effect is that I have not had a period since I started taking it. Before that, it was like clockwork.

My health plan just changed coverage from a larger patch to this little patch Re this smaller patch, it works if you can keep it on--; Alleviates all symptoms of menopause but DOES NOT stay on. I didn't even know it had come off until I started itching. Looked in the mirror and found a patch sized itchy rash where the patch had been. I have never had a reaction until this little patch. The reaction is not bad enough to stop using. This patch works but make sure it's still on.
