I am a 51 yr old female & before I was diagnosed I felt like I was 90. I shuffled, had inner & outer tremors, loss of balance, light incontinence, severe body aches & pains & was tired all the time. The meds were like a miracle. I felt like I got my life back. Almost all of the symptoms have gone away. I still feel tired a lot but mostly its because I feel better & push myself to do too much.

My son was prescribed this for restless legs which we both suffer from. I have an appointment but have not seen a neurologist for it yet but have an appointment. My doc prescribed other meds but they totally sucked and made the RLS worse. Out of desperation one night, I used a quarter tablet of the 25/100 carb/lev combo strength and they went away almost within the hour. I have never had anything help me with this debilitating condition and I was estatic! I got a few tablets from him for emergencies while I await my own appointment. I know I shou;dn't take other people's prescriptions but if you have the condition as bad as I do, you already understand. Not only that but that day, I took what my doc gave me and it was a substance that actually brings on the condition! I was going out of my mind and only a neuro can prescribe it, apparently. I also have a liver disease and I am blind in one eye from glaucoma. I looked on this site to see if the side effects are bad for my conditions but found no info so far. Usually, most drugs are bad for the liver so i take it very very sparingly until a doc says it is okay to take it as prescribed. I also heard that this stuff can actually make the RLS worse so because they seem to be more frequent lately - to a very unusual amnt of episodes, I am only taking it to sleep and then only a quarter tab. Does anyone else out there share the same kind of experience of RLS and take this drug? I would be happy to hear from others in my condition and see how they fared with this drug. Thanks to all who did leave some info on their experiences. I found your info very helpful.Read More Read Less

This medication exazerbated my tremors, caused a constant headache, I couldn't concentrate, stayed confused and every muscle in my body twitched uncontrolablly. About a year ago my doctor put me on Mirapex which is related to this 'carbi/levo dopa and I ended up in the ER and was put in ICU for my heart. I have Atherosclerousis of the heart and have had three heart bypasses plus bypasses in each leg. Now I've been diagnosed with COPD and Parkinsons at the age of 62. I hope there is a medication out there for me to help with these tremors but I wanted to let someone know about the dangerous side effects of this medication. Sometimes it's better to deal with the desease rather than die from the medication you're given!Read More Read Less

Undiagnosed severe resless leg syndrome for many years. My neurologist prescribed one (1)carbidopa/levo tab 25/100 3-4times daily also one (1) carbidopa/levo ER (sustained release) tab 50/200 at bedtime along with one (1) carbidopa/levo tab 25/100 for quick response; dosage keeps me comfortabe all night. I sleep all night long with no need to take another 25/100 before morning. tab. Hope this is helpful.

I have Restless Leg Syndrome really bad. I was on requip for about 6 months that caused me to throw up sometimes. Car/Lev combination has been great controlling my condition. Very little side effect.

it is a very powerful drug. it has helped but pd is progressing. i've a dbs done for my left side only. i have had pd since 1997. i am now having trouble writing. my speech is getting bad & swallowing. i was on the nuepro patch but it was recalled so now i am on requip 2mg. i take 2 3x daily . Comtan 200 mg. w/carbo 6x. i'm willing to go to a clinical trail of some sort. i was on mirapex but had to get off due to compulsive gambling which put me into debt & severe depression. linda hurtado
