Have taken Vicodin for 7 years now. Have a badly damaged knee and constant pain. This works, but am now moving up to MS Contin. For those in pain don't worry about dependence you need it. I work 12 hour shifts at a Hospital and this is the only way I CAN work. It knocks the pain back where I can concentrate on what I'm doing and not be in agony or short tempered. Use it without fear for pain...

I am SHOCKED that there is no warning of possible addiction listed for this drug, and others like it. Hydrocodone is the most abused prescription drug in America today. Obviously this website has decided to ingore the truth about this drug, and print what the lawyers asked them to print.

Fell at work, breaking left leg. Medication worked very well with hardly no side effects that I have had with other medication. Very easy to stop using when not needed.

Vicoden or Vicoprpfen has helped me to come down from the Fentanyl/duralgesic patch & has successsfully helped with most of the pain I have throughout my body. Used with Ibuprofen it is a great drug to use. I have used it in years past & it always has helped.

I started taking norco when I dislocated/fractured my elbow the med works well, though causes a bit of nausia. I also take oxycontin for my long acting medication. I have also found that if I change the doseage to keep me from getting to used to one doseage.I havefound that to keep me from getting sick I try to eat a little prior to taking. zofran has been heplful in treating the nausea, but it is so expensive.

After more than 10 years of use for Migraine & combination headache, along w/ Triptans there has been a noticeable decrease in effectiveness. It still is the most reliable treatment for my pain, but it sometimes is not able to fully do the job(or only for an hour or two).Requiring additional doses every few hours.

I have taken hydrocodone off and on for years. I have had several surgeries for different things, including tooth surgery. I have been given various pain medications and the only one that I know will work for sure, is hydrocodone.

I have taken this med for over a month. It works extremely well, the only problem is that it will put you to sleep quickly.

The severe pain in both of my hands makes everyday things unbearable. Even the simplest of things that we humans take for granted can be excruciatingly painful! I couldn't even turn the page on a book. Although Vicodin does not eliminate the pain, it reduces it enough to make it somewhat tolerable. I can hold a hairbrush now, get dressed, do light cooking and cleaning.

This has helped me with my arthritis pain throughout my body especially in my hip and lower back area. Should I be concerned about being on this for a long period of time?
