Have taken Vicodin for 7 years now. Have a badly damaged knee and constant pain. This works, but am now moving up to MS Contin. For those in pain don't worry about dependence you need it. I work 12 hour shifts at a Hospital and this is the only way I CAN work. It knocks the pain back where I can concentrate on what I'm doing and not be in agony or short tempered. Use it without fear for pain...

I am SHOCKED that there is no warning of possible addiction listed for this drug, and others like it. Hydrocodone is the most abused prescription drug in America today. Obviously this website has decided to ingore the truth about this drug, and print what the lawyers asked them to print.

I've used Vicodin on different occasions and, for me, it never works. I get more relief with OTC Tylenol.

Only Medication I can function and have a normal life with MS, Fibro,Chronic back pain, It gives me a life and I can function daily and work 2 full time jobs, without it I am in bed full time!! But doctors are too afraid to prescribe so we live in pain, sorry I buy on the streets, to hell with the doctors, if it was up to them I wouldn't have a life, because they don't have to feel my pain, so why should they care, they only care about losing their license, when they are writting the scripts to the people who don't take it and I buy it from, so obviously they can't read people very well!Read More Read Less

Recently had bunion surgery, and Vicodin knocked out the pain and helped me sleep. I did have a mild allergic reaction to it, which was a rash on my stomach and hips, but did not affect me at all. The reaction went away after I stopped taking it.

Been on these for years now.. I'm o la 28 but got hurt over seas.. I like these better because it seem like they are less addictive then percocet or other people and drugs.. I tried to stop taking just to see if I got any bad withdrawal.. And the most that happened was I pooped alot and slight headache but Excedrin Migraine help.. Side affects for me are mild compensation and dry mouth.. I'm taking 6 pills a day (5/325).. And for effectiveness only rated 3 stars because it's not the best in the world but I like it because it's really not that addictive... in my opinion better than most just because of that reason.. It just takes the edge off Read More Read Less

I have used Vicodin for migraine for 10 years, going through a 60 tab prescription every few months. It is very helpful for coping with migraine pain. I have not experienced any of the addictive effects that we are warned of. I have been treated by a number of nurses and even a neurologist as if I were seeking prescriptions as an addict. Folks, if you have pain, do not be shy about asking for help. Yes, you may attract some interesting attention on occasion. It happens. One bad side effect is constipation and resulting abdominal pain. I have used senna tea to resolve this successfully.Read More Read Less

I took this to help relieve pain from getting my wisdom teeth removed and i must say it was an effective method to reduce the pain. I did seem to notice i felt sad more than usual or more neutral rather than well. As well as experiencing random jumps in my heart beat and adrenaline when trying to fall asleep accompanied with the feeling of falling and everything spinning. i also experienced random spurts of blurred vision.

I received absolutely NO pain relief with this drug. Severe debilitating nausea was a side effect.

Im on this for chronic back and leg pain. Due to the new Laws my Dr had to cut me down to 2 5mg a day!!! I hurt so bad... When I was on 4-6 a day I had way less pain and could walk... Im on Lyrica too and Flexril for the pain. BE CAREFUL and follow dr orders... these are addictive!!!

Stay away from this drug. It's heroin in legalized format. I went through major hell of pain after being diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor. I regret ever taking this as it led me down a long dark road where I almost lost everything. Its a bad bad drug. The human can ease pain in so many other ways.

I have severe knee pain and I've had surgery on one but they still continuously creak. So I was put on Meloxicam and Hydrocodone and have never felt better. It still hurts from time to time but otherwise, I feel much better than I did before.

Does not make pain go away, just seems to take the edge off. The price has gone up a lot. I don't see how Vicodin would used for recreation.

5/500 has been a miracle medication for 17 years with blood tests and NOT abused. It has saved me from medal post surgeries due to a failure of a neck surgery in 1999. Recently I had a total hip replacement with fast complete recovery. Other than in ICU I could NOT take morphine or generic type pain medication due to the fact they make me sick. Only my 5/500 Vicodin works for me to save me from pain and my arthritis and other bone issues as I'm 71 years old now. How can the FDA take away this miracle drug when not abused. My liver and blood tests are always good for all of these years. However I have lost three friends to live issues, but that was from Alcohol. People know this but drink to much anyway. This is the choice they make. I however do not and can't imagine that I may not have what works for my medical condition into a suffering age due to this crazy new law. Generics have always made me sick or do not work. Can anyone change this action? My doctors are even livid.Read More Read Less
