This product is effective. Take only one at a time (i took two once and was crying in pain). You should also plan to take it only when you can afford to have some quality bathroom time. You may need a few trips to the bathroom as it works through your system. Don't take it the day that you have something really imortant to do. I took it at 9 p.m. and it worked its way through at about 10 a.m. ...

I had received free samples of Dulcolax laxative tablets and took one two nights ago around 10PM. I woke up in the morning with moderate cramping, and while on my commute was feeling uncomfortable. I had jury duty that morning and as soon as the case began, I started feeling incredibly nauseous and hot, as well as crampy, and hobbled embarrassingly to the bathroom. There I stayed for 30 minutes hu...

I tend to become constipated. I am diabetic but do not take drugs anymore. i eat what I please and take 1/4 cup of Prune Juice when I remember, 2/day is ideal, and I am fine. Occasionally I forget then get in trouble not gaving a bowel movement for 2-3 days and then i am miserable. When i felt a constipation coming on I took 1 dulcolax and it worked great. Next day I took another one and became a bit runny. I think this pill will be fine for me if I teke it sparingly or on an emergency basis. I may do well for others too.Read More Read Less

I take 3 at a time for constipation. Let me tell you, 3 at one time will clean you right out. Problem is I feel faint sometimes, have cramps and bloating over the following days.

I have no idea how strong of a dose these other people are taking, but I read these reviews and was freaking out over taking these. I am preparing for a colonoscopy and took two this morning and the Nulytely made me feel worse than the Duocolax. I took two 5 mg tabs. And I was FINE!! It did what it had to do.

Oh my goodness, do not take this drug. Took two at night because I hadn't gone in 5 days and was getting bloated and feeling icky...woke up at 5am sure I was going to vomit. Couldn't leave the bathroom for two hours; the cramping was awful and I was sweating so much I had to put my wrist under running sink water while on the toilet. Felt ill for the rest of the day. STAY AWAY FROM DULCOLAX.

I have used this product several times. This last time I made the mistake of taking 3 since the last few times seemed not as effective as before. Mistake! it has been 4 full days and I haven't stopped using the restroom. 5-10 times per day. Whatever doctor is prescribing 4 is insane. I weigh about 220 (now probably 185 since I took this) and I'm in good shape, eat well, etc. I don't see how a human being can take 4 of these and still function.

I have used Dulcolax off and on for the past 8 months. It works in about 6-12 hours. It usually always gives me diarrhea and always makes me extremely nauseas before it causes a bowel movement. I do recommend this product for occasional constipation. Definetly do not use Dulcolax for more than a week. Not intended for long term use. Can cause bloating and stomach pain if used for more than a week. Becomes ineffective if used more than a week.

I had to take 4 to prepare for a colonoscopy and it worked great! The first laxative I've ever taken that did not cause cramping. I see that other people have had a painful experience. I guess each person is different and something works for everyone. I'm just glad I found mine.

I would definitely suggest only taking one. I took 2 in the afternoon once and fortunately didn't have side-effects until I was going to bed, so I basically slept through it. Even taking 2, though, I didn't have a movement until 20 hours after taking the medicine. Needless to say, do not take 3, the discomfort is agonizing.

I suffer of infrequent bowel movements. i took 2 tablets when I used the drug for a first time. My side effects were: - The pain was awafull in my abdomen. - I was shaking uncontrollably for 20-30mins. - I was sweating - I felt like vomitting. - I thought I will pass out. The same happened tonight, when I took only 1 tablet. For a moment I felt so bad - I thought I will faint & I thought I might need to call the emergency services. Came to check on the net for the side effects..What a relief. Im not alone with the side effects.... This drug - does empty the bowel. But I wouldnt recommend it to annyone with these side effectt. I have tried better drugs in the past, without these horrible side effects. The box of Dulcolax tablets has only one place: the rubbish bin!!!Read More Read Less

I was to use this for the first part of a colonoscopy prep. The instructions said to take 4 tablets at 12:00 noon. I took only 2 tablets at about 8:30 AM. Around 2:00 PM I went to the bathroom. I began to get a pain--almost a burning pain in my upper abdomen. Suddenly, I broke out in a sweat and felt awful. I sat there in pain and sweating for about 45 minutes. I could hardly speak and at one point got light-headed and thought I might pass out. I didn't. A few times I felt waves of nausea. I sat there bent over and sweating profusely. I did manage to empty my bowels. I finally was able to get up and then went to bed for about 2 hours. I was wasted. With all the sweating, I couldn't help wondering if something else was happening to me. I shutter to think what would have happened if I had taken all 4 tablets as instructed. If you are trying this for the first time, you might want to have someone around just in case you run into problems.Read More Read Less

I agree with everyone else. This medication is extreme. Ive been sick all day and I took the pills at about 7pm. Was still sick at 11am the next day. couldnt leave house as urgency to go the bathroom was so strong plus i was up all night. it wakes you up out of your sleep something awful. i threw the rest of them out because just looking at the box makes me want to hurl.

I have had bowel movement problems for years. I chalked it up to a poor diet and decided it would be helpful to eat healthier, as it usually makes me feel better. About a month ago, I began a healthier diet and have noticed the bowel movements have been less freqent than before. I eat all the right things, but it appeared the amount of fiber from fruits and veggies wasn't helping. Last week I tried the Dulcolax for the first time and within 7 hours I started to feel as though I was going to vomit and had pretty bad side pain. I sat on the toilet for about 45 minutes before the pill started actually working. It definitely does a fantastic job of cleaning out the system. I was happy with the effects of the product.
