I have been on Vicoprofen for a few years now for Migraines, Kidney Stones. I feel it works alot better then Extra Strength Vicodin. I take the 7.5 200 strength. It doesnt upset my stomach like the tylenol did with the Vicodin. If you do get a upset stomach I recommend eat before you take the med. But sometimes doing so lessens the effect of the Vicoprofen. so taking a anti-nausea med will prevent...

Helps with my right hip pain as I have no cartilage left in the joint and I am walking with bone pressing on bone. My doctor really controls this prescription as she has to approve every 10 day refill. When I am not taking it I find it difficult to walk or even get out of bed and the withdrawal symptoms are terrible! I will yawn and be so tired yet can't sleep cause my muscles go into horrfic spasms. It does seem to be less effective but I would not recoemmend taking more than the dosage precribed. And the constipation...whoa.....horrible, even with a stool softener, prune juice and fiber! I read that to decrease the horrible side effects you should take less day by day and wean your system off of it gradually.Read More Read Less

The only negative side effect for me is constipation. Which I solve by waiting until after I go each day to take the med. Positives include ability to function like a real person and increased energy.
