I was in the US and tried Synthroid, Levothyroxine, and Armour. I had horrible, horrible side effects. Once I moved to Turkey, I started on Euthyrox and wow what an improvement. First thing to go was my brain fog and sense of unrealism and I could finally feel alive again. It took about 2 years for my body to stabilize on it, but none of the side effects were nowhere near as bad as Synthroid or Le...

I have been taking Euthyrox for about 4 months now. I experience tiredness and weight gain. Dull headaches dizziness. I see this drug has been recalled in USA. I would appreciate your comments on this

I had been on levothyroxine approximately 15 years or more with no problems and Walmart out of the blue decided to change it on me with euthryox. When I questioned them they said because it had a better shelf life. I've been having lots of problems including neuropathy. I told my doctor that maybe all of this that's been going on has to do with Walmart switching my prescription and she never even heard of this brand and she was surprised because she said that she didn't write it for that. So she wrote me my regular prescription and wrote not to give any substitutes. Well I got my prescription and I brought it home and when I opened it up. It was a different color pill then what I've been taking before. I noticed that on the label it said alv. My old label said s a n so I did some research and they gave me alvogen brand versus sandoz. When I was waiting for this prescription cuz they said that I had to order it I said yeah cuz I want to go back to my old brand because it was switched by you guys about a year and 3 months ago and I need to go back to my old brand. I was very surprised I didn't get my old brand. I will be calling Walmart tomorrow. It seems like Walmart has done that with a lot of people that have been thyroid deficient and giving them this substitute without doctors approval. Why would Walmart do that. Only thing I can think of is dollars.Read More Read Less

I have been taking this for about a year since WalMart changed from Levothyroxine without letting me know. I questioned it and was told it's the same drug. Well I started gaining weight in leaps and bounds and I was blaming it on my Arimidex (cancer meds) but I got off of it and back on my old meds and I don't feel like I'm constantly bloated and loosing weight. It had to be this drug.

My pharmacy continuously changes my synthroid to euthyrox and every single time they do I end up having my hormone levels so thrown off my doctor has to up my dosage. I do best on synthroid, and am okay on levothyroxine, but within weeks of going on euthyrox I develop black circles under my eyes, Insomnia, brain fog, extreme exhaustion, and I start gaining weight again. It may work for some people however every time my pharmacy has switched me it has done nothing but damage to my body.

I was on Levothyroxine before. The dosage had gradually increased over the years until I was at 137 mcg. About 8 months ago, the pharmacy switched me to Euthyrox. 3 months later, my blood test showed that my TSH was low at .2. My doc dropped my dosage to 125 mcg. My test a few days ago shows another drop to .06, very low. I'll see the doc next week. It can't be the same as Levothyroxin.

Walmart used this for generic levothyroxin--I began to have all the symptoms of low thyroid levels. It was totally ineffective. Now that I am on another generic I feel much better.

I was diagnosed with hypo 14 years ago and was put on synthroid. Recently told by my dr the levothyroxine was fine to take and walmart offered it for $4. On third day of taking it was feeling dizzy, shakes, heart palpitations, head fog..just really bad! and upon inspecting of my RX it was euthyrox, in which walmart never told me. If this is how I feel after only THREE DAYS, what will 2 weeks be?!?! I called walmart and they tell me it's the same as levothyroxine..NO IT IS NOT!!!They should be held liable for giving something that is not prescribed!! I am going BACK to my synthroid!! I was on the generic levothyroxine for about a decade, with no issues. I was switched to Euthyrox in December 2020, I experienced major side effects for almost a year before I went cold turkey, and now I am on NP thyroid medication, which is a non-synthetic thyroid medication. I feel like myself again after a year of anxiety, not being able to sleep, feeling uncomfortable in my skin, dizzy, tight chest, heart palpitations, and the list goes on and on. Not only was 2020 one of the worst years of my life because of the pandemic, but also because of this horrible medication. I cannot believe that Walmart is switching people to this medication without consent. It should be banned in the United States. Read More Read Less

I've been taking this medication for a few months now since Walmart switched. I take it the same as I did my levothyroxine, and I absolutely hate it. Im gaining weight, I'm tired I have muscle cramps. The worst of it is my depression, my levothyroxine help me with my mental and physical health but this euthyrox is something I would not recommend to anyone. I have an appt with my dr. to see if there are other options/medication that will be more effective for me.

I have been taking Levi thyroxine for hypothyroidism 75 mcg due to his hoshimotos. Last month when I refilled my script from Walmart , which was 90 day supply, I was given different brand, Euthyrox. I am on 5th week of it and feeling so drained and fatigued. Also having some brain fog. I have heard same complaints with this brand.

This drug is causing all kinds of awful issues. My hair is falling out, I'm completely exhausted, want to sleep all day/night, can't think straight, can't make it through my work day, loose stools, headaches, cold. Increased heart palpitations. I feel exactly as I did when I wasn't taking any thing.

Ridiculous it cannot be exposed to light or air before taking. A blister pack? Really? And there aren't any numbers on the blister pack to help you keep track of the date you start, like 1-30 perhaps? Also, these pills see quite thin and weak. More often than not when pushing out of the blister pack, the pill breaks and I am taking 2-3 pieces! It also seems to be making me dizzy. I hate this medication and have never had this kind of problem with other low thyroid pills. Why oh why did my pharmacy switch to Euthyrox?Read More Read Less
