this medication really helped my voices but it suprisinly took almost all my hallucinations away (ya i have my bad times) but it is better than taking cogentant with my Geodon and still have to goto the Emergency Room for a Benadril shot for my side-effects!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I have been coping with clinical depression most of my life. I have been taking seroquel for at least ten yrs. My chief complaint is much weight gain!!!This drug helps me to sleep,but due to the weight gain I will discontinue it. JL.Birch

I was prescribed this drug in a very low dose to help me get the sleep I need. As a business woman and parental caregiver my life is full of stress. This drug seems to allow my brain to rest at night when I go to bed to sleep.

it just make my wife sleep and dose not make thing better.

Knocked me out everyday. Leveled out my mood somewhat, but even at a small dose disrupted my life too much to continue.

does help me sleep, but it seems to make me very irritable and sluggish. also have awful night sweats. have only been taking this for a few weeks, but not sure if i will continue treatment with this medication.

it sucks, it did not help me sleep. also I am pissed that no one told me about the weight gain. It is not a good drug if it makes you more depressed because of how fat you put on

i had a boyfriend who used it at night time to go to sleep.

taking the medication for 3 wks -has helped me focus and concentrate although the drug makes me tired and drowsy{sleepy},dry mouth,otherwise good.

I was put on Seroquel to help with my anxiety and my impulsive self harm. Overall, I found that the meds did help me to curb my problem, only because it knocked me out, and I was extremely lethargic and 'zombie' like through my whole therapy with this drug. I asked my psychiatrist about this, and she simply stated: "well, you can't hurt yourself if you're not awake. So, it's doing it's job".

I feel as if i am cycling more frequently

It made me have black out periods and I barely remember at all being on it and what I did. I had to go into the mental hospital, when I did not have initial symptoms to go, before I started taking the medicine. It was a nightmare for me.

This medication was perscribed for my son 11yrs old. He would not sleep at night and had someone anxiety issues. We had to sleep with him or he would wake up. 1st night he was asleep by 10 and slept all night.All by himself in his own room and his own bed. It was great. As a parent you want your childern to get as much rest as possible for school in the am. before this medication he would not sleep until 3am and that was with someone sleeping with him. in the first week i felt worse and i woke up about midway through week two and knew i was gaining control over my problems again. i have only experienced mild headaches as a side effect of this medication.

Started seroquel 3 weeks ago and am now finding no mood swings, less anxiety and less racing thoughts. Terrific. Taken at night I can even sleep through the night!
