BEfore Effexor I was on prozac which helped but did not relieve the anxiety I am also dealing with. Effexor has helped tremendously!

I'm a teenager and I took Effexor for around 6 months. It worked accept I was always in the same mood, never happy or sad, just in between. My friends were the people who noticed it first, I was never really happy or hyper anymore, I was boring and eager all the time.

Tried Zoloft and Lexapro originally, then switched to Effexor XR. Worked up to 150 mg, but too many sexual side effects occurred (delayed orgasm) so weaned off with withdrawls and sexual function returned. Trying 75 mg to see if that's a happy medium.

No major problems, but I am on a really high dosage, if I miss one dose, I experience flu like symptoms. Depression returns if I miss two or more doses
