I am a senior in high school and have been on Levora since freshmen year. I loved it! My periods were lighter, my cramps weren't as bad, my boobs grew a little bit and I think it made me 10x more horny than I already was! I did get cravings for things that I do not usually eat which was weird. Just this year I started getting really bad mood swings, panic attacks, and anxiety attacks. Then i s...

I have taken 2 other birth control pills prior to this one and this is the only pill that hasn't caused mood swings and break through bleeding. So far there have been no unexpected pregnancies. My period is significantly lighter and I have minimal issues with cramping. The only downside is that I'm slightly more emotional. I cry more often, but it's a small price to pay for a good product.

Switched from the depo shot, which stopped my abnormal bleeding that lasted for months. The skin on my face cleared up, although my back kind of broke out. My libido is through the roof, which is great. I've noticed that I get really wet & stay wet.

Had tried various birth control pills, but levora seemed to have the least amount of side affects, no breakthrough bleeding, less migraines, less rstomach irritations and mood swings. Predictable, lighter periods, no weight gain and regular appetite. After 4 years on this, I noticed significant mood swings and stomach aches and worst of all, went from moderate to severe migraines from the withdrawal of the pills during my sugar pill phase, Unbearable. It started to get worse and worse. Maybe I built up a tolerance? Went off the pill for a trail and viola, no more migraines! 16 years of pain Gone, just headaches w/periods now. Going off of the pill, I have had slight appetite increase, a couple of zits, longer lasting MUCH heavier periods but it's a good trade off, considering everyone around me notices that I'm happier and less moody and NO more migraines, or possibly a slight one from time to time, but not every single month and not for several days around my period. I have been using this brand for a few months. I switched because my last bc gave me longer, heavier periods. Although this gave me lighter periods, I can't stay wet during sex like how I used to. I haven't gained weight but I've noticed more hair breakage.

I love this birth control! Having been on other pills before, this one works for me. I don't have any other side effects that other pills have had (moodiness, spotting, weight gain). If anything, everything has stabilized. This looks like a winner!

I have been on Levora for about 5 months. I have had very few problems with this medication. At first, I was a little moody (I would cry at commercial, and I never cry), and my breasts were tender (I had to sleep in a sports bra because they hurt so bad). But other than that, I am really happy with this med. No weight gain, no acne problems, my face got clearer (!).

I have been taking Levora for over 3 years and have had no problems. Not only has it helped even my hormones out, but it has also decreased the length and severity of my menstrual cycle over time. I tried 4 different birth controls before this one and this is the first one I have not had issues with. My doctor told me every person is different and each birth control has a different combination of drugs which work different with different people. This one works well for what I need.

As soon as my daughter started taking levora she felt sick to her stomach. She discontinued after a few weeks, but did not get better. INstead she continued to deteriorate until she had to go to the hospital and was diagnosed with Crohns Disease. We believe the birth control pill was the trigger.

I have been on this birth control for approx 4 months. I noticed a small rash by my mouth which has now turned into very itchy hives & a very very swollen face and neck.. I hate this poison!

I haven't gotten pregnant with this pill. But, I have gained weight, have no sexual desire, and my period is heavy again! I guess I'll be switching back to a Ortho-Micronor.

I got pregnant last summer after some antibiotic use while on Levora. I've had a horribly painful period since I was 12, but since using this, I have been hospitalized for extreme fevers, mood swings, headaches, nausea, depression and pain/swelling. I can snap at the drop of a hat and cry on cue pretty much. I am nervous to use this as the only form of BC.

I am 29 years old I have been taking Levora for two months now. I experience the occasional nausea and headaches but nothing too serious. My period is lighter than normal but over all I'm happy with the medication. I would suggest for younger patients to try a birth control with lower dosage of hormones. I hope that everything will continue to go well!

This is the worst birth control pill out there. I've been on Levora for less than 5 weeks....noticed a significant change in my emotions. I went into a deep depression, was always tired, and the headaches were off and on. I cried for no apparent reasons and didn't want to socialize with friends. Several of my friends pointed out that I was not my usual up-beat self. I finally stop taking the pills and within 3 days....feel alot better. I cannot believe how much this pill has affected me. This is from my own expierence. It might worked for some people, but it did not for me and I knew I had to share my story. Read More Read Less

I have been on this medication for about 2 years now and I have to say I'm absolutely devastated by its effects. Don't get me wrong, it has completely worked by not getting me pregnant, but I am experiencing some terrible side effects. Within the past year I have noticed a significant amount of hair loss. I researched that hormonal birth controls can definitely cause this because of the amount of androgens being released into your blood. According to the American Hair Loss Society, Nordette (the generic version of Levora) has a high-androgen index and they recommend that women take a low-androgen index pill in order to help prevent hair loss. I'm hoping that by switching pills, my hair will begin to grow back but I'm not sure if too much damage has already been done. I've also experienced severe mood swings, extreme fatigue, and decreased sex drive. I love that I can predict exactly when my period will come, but I can do that with any birth control pill so I'm switching when I see my doctor this week. I cannot believe that at 19, I am experiencing hair loss due to a birth control pill so I advise that anyone who is researching about what pill they should take should go with a low-androgen one just in case.Read More Read Less
