I take this for anxiety and to calm me down bc I have some anger issues. ALWAYS calms me down to a normal mood when I get "out of control". Love it.

Treatment just began.

It is my 4th day of use, 25 mg once a day at night. I didn't find it that effective at all. My itching has almost increased since I stopped the drug 'SMZ-TMP' and started Atarax 25 mg, prescribed by my new dermatologist. Earlier, SMZ-TMP worked well. But my new dermatologist wanted me to stop antibiotic and start Atarax. I am not at all impressed by this drug. I would welcome if anyone else has similar experience as mine.

My father passed in. 1984 I suffered with neuro dermatitis (hives) all over my body due to his passing. Went to the emergency room as I was out of state and no local doctor to contact. The e r dr prescribed these in pill form. Worked the first dose.

I am a 60 year old woman and I've had some sort of exzema or dermatitus all my life; finally when all my hair fell out due to dermatitus, my doctor prescibed Atarax, 10 mg 3 times a day. It did the trick. That was 15 years ago and i've been taking it ever since although I now take it only twice a day. I also suffer from anxiety and it helps immensely with that also. Only side effect is it can make me sleepy.

Has helped me a lot

Had the most severe case of dermographia that my dermotologist has seen. Nothing has worked except this! Taking 25mg at bedtime and lasts through the next day!

I have periodic mass break outs of itchy rash on extremities and this works. I got home from the office, took my first 10mg dose and the itching stopped. Only been a couple of days thus far, but have had relief since day 1.

I have episodes of severe itching on feet, legs, arms, and body. I was presribed Atarax 25-50 mg every six hours as need. I find taking on 50mg in evening stops the itching. Nothing else has work like this drug to stop the intense itching. Drug does seem to make me tired the next day but I can live with that.

Just started this drug as I found it buried in back of medicine acinet. The anxiety was killing me, no sleep, no appetite, difficult to leave the house. I see there are many people suffering from the same condition. I will try this drug and re-post. Thanks to all who convinced me I'm not alone w/ these symptoms.

used for my daughter with autisum has been quiet helpful for sleepin. wondering how it would be for day time use.

I use this drug when I go to bed because if I dont i will scratch myself and make myself bleed. It works very well but do not take before you go to bed because it makes you very sleepy!
