I had painful intercourse and it was getting worse. GYN discussed discussed several options and together we dicided to try Estrace Cream. I use 1 g 2x week and i am now pain free.

My urologist prescribed Estrace for overactive bladder and recurrent UTIs. I thought he was crazy. But it has worked!!! And there have been unexpected benefits. My sex drive has returned, vaginal dryness/pain is gone, AND I have spontaneous orgasms multiple times a day! Weird.

This cream totally changed the situation of painful relations. It worked great. The only reservation I have (although I don't know for sure if this cream caused this - but certainly does appear in the warnings before using such) is that my GYN has now seen growths (polyps). I've read that bladder control pads can cause many health problems including cancer etc and I have used these too. so even though I can't say for sure right now that Estrace Cream caused this, I will be extremely cautious about using it again. Many instead use a vaginal moisturizer for dryness such as YESYES - which I do recommend - oily plus water based. This helps vaginal dryness without the possible health risks. Read More Read Less

Vaginal pain has decreased somewhat, but itching hasn't subsided. Also, have to wear a pantiliner every day because of discharge. I use 2 GM weekly and at least once a week insert extra cream at vulvar entrance. Still have painful intercourse and don't know what else to do. Will use for another month and see what happens.

The estradiol works, but the cream base is very irritating. Causes burning, redness, urethra burning. Switched to a compounded product with "versa-base" and got all the benefits and no side effects.

I have used the cream 1x/day for 4 days. I began having what feels like menstruational cramps off and on for the last 2 days. Is this normal or an artifact of the insertion?

Just started using this so I can't really rate it yet but I am using this for vaginal dryness/atrophy all stemming from going through surgical menopause 7 yrs. ago. My question is when you first start using this cream and it begins leaking out...is it normal to experience some burning and if so how long is this going to last. It's hard to tell if it's doing any good because I was having burning before and still having these same issues. Has anyone else experienced this???

I used this only once due to terrible side effect of a 4 day migraine with one use. This medication worked great to stop the dryness and internal vaginal discomfort and ithching/ painful intercourse. They checked and I had no yeast infection. That is wwhen I prescribed Estrace. I used the smallest amount and the next morning I had a horrible migraine for 4 days and had to finally go to the ER for IV meds to break it. so even though it worked I had to stop, now they want me to try vagifem. I have only been using this a little over a month. I wanted relief from painful intercourse and dryness. I found that was solved plus I sleep better ( without waking too frequently) and hot flashes have been greatly reduced. I am not as irritable either. I feel like my old self. I wish someone had told me about this years ago. I am 5 years menopausal.

Estrace cream worked great for me! No more dryness or itchiness, irritation, am sleeping better and has greatly improved my sex drive to levels I can only remember, ha But you do have to apply it faithfully. I now apply it just occasionally and this seems to maintain the good effects.

Instructions say to say wash applicator with soap and water. This DOES NOT work. There are so many indentations you have to use a Q-Tip to clean out all the little places that will not wash out with just soap and water. PLEASE ask manufacturer to redesign the applicator.

I am a 55 year old, no periods for 2 years, itching, burning, atrophy, looked like "things" were shrinking "down there". Have been taking this for about 6 months, and within 3 weeks the itching and burning was much improved, tissues "plumped up" a bit, much better intercourse, slight breast sorene. My quality of life is much improved and confort level is so much better.

I wish I could review this product, but it is far too expensive. The pharmacy quoted me a price of $188.00 for one tube. I can't afford it. Without my prescription drug plan, it would be $250. This pharmacy has always seemed to be in line with other places. Checking online produced tons of listings for "generic" Estrace, or Estrace-like creams, but I don't want to risk getting a fake product.
