I received stents in 2006. Was prescribed Plavix 75mg and Aspirin 325 mg a day. The aspirin was reduced to 81mg after 18 days. No antiacid was prescribed to protect my stomach. After about two months I developed stomach ulcer and had sever bleeding. Was hospitalized and received blood transfusion. Not a good experience!

I was on plavix for 3 weeks after a stent. suffered severe reaction. Hives all over my body, my throat was closing up. rushed to ER. had to stay in hospital for 2 days. cannot take anymore. Now on Ticlid. hope this doesn't happen again. If this happens to you get to a hospital right away.
