My 9 year old daughter was treated with Vistaril 25 mg three times a day for anxiety. It helped Now,they added Neurontin for mood disorder and I think she might be having those involuntary jerking upper body movements as a side effect of Vistaril Think she needs to go off it....fast!!!

This drug doesnt work very well for Anxiety- It helps somewhat with nausea- the 25MG pill is pretty weak- I dont think this works that well for Anxiety- I reccoment Xanax- thats much cheaper and more effective than this too.

I have been on Vistaril two days now for anxiety. I really don't feel any different or less anxious. Also, hasn't made sleep easier one bit. I thought it was supposed to calm me, but I have found myself more angry and on edge. I will give it another week before I complain to the Doc.

My 9 year old daughter has panic attacks. They frist tried Buspar but she has bad side effects with that drug. Vistaril 25 mg 3 or 4 times a day helps her a lot and doesn't make her drowsy...just very dry mouth
