1st time user - recommended by a friend for chest congestion - did help with the congestion but caused me to be dizzy. Relieved to read other reviews that mention similar side effects. Manufacturer's package should mention this since it seems to be common (at least based on reviews here). Also experienced some gas and diarreah (sp?). Won't take again - will stick with Robutussin (which I've used for years without these severe side effects).

take for sinus congestion due to allergies. take regularly and works extremely well.

Was having dizziness and what felt like panic attacks. I thought I was losing my mind till I read the other reviews! Helped my cough tremendously if you can tolerate the crazy!

On March 8, 2014, I was congested with a sore throat, coughing, discomfort generally, spitting up mucus, and I took 4 Mucinex pills for the time specified over the next few days and my condition became worse in every way. I felt like I was dying and the experience was a disaster of my life. I discovered the warning later regarding heart problems and high blood pressure which I have. This drug should be removed from the market!! I experienced nausea, dizziness, felt totally horrible after taking it. It's been 24 hours and I still feel "off". The side-effects are not worth it.

I had problem with excessive mucus, allergies and plugged ear with tintinus noise in one ear. Nurse/practitioner in hearing clinic recommended Mucinex 600mg 2 times daily with full glass of water for a week, then as needed. Worked really well and now I take it when ear feels plugged or "noises" become bothersome. No apparent side effects.

I have experienced dizziness, shakiness, and some nausea. I just feel spacey like I cannot think at all. I would so much rather cough than wait for this to wear off!

It helped with cough but made me feel horrible. Upset stomach, nausea, feeling weird. Will not take again!!!

I have an enlarged prostate, and took the Maximum Strength Mucinex. It almost stopped my urine flow completely.

Tingling in face and arms after use

after taking the 1200 mg pill twice, I develop severe stomach upsets, nausea and dizziness. Seems like this is a more common side effects for women. Stop taking it. Still trying to get over from the dizziness and nausea.

I am mine husbands care giver he has emphysema, I wonder whether it is all right for him to use it continuously ? He is starting to be very weak is that from the use off this drug? Maria

Took the mucinex DM 1200mg and experienced severe stomach cramps through to the back, nausia and heartburn. I also became dizzy and had to lay down all within an hour of taking the pill.

easy to use and effective

Right after Christmas on vacation I was miserable and left early from it, you lay down and your head fills up with snot, after four days taking day time and night time cold medicine witch made me feel a little better. two weeks later I felt the same way and started taking the Mucinex 1200 and now I can sleep Im afraid to stop taking it im going to take it for seven days, time will tell. got a $13 bottle of Mucinex Fast-Max Cold & Sinus. The bottle is almost done and my symptoms are still where it started. never saw any relief. what a waste of $13+.

This medication is approved for pregnant patients as a "safe drug" to use. DO NOT USE this medicine. I used one dose and almost immediately experienced a severe allergic reaction. I got itchy rashes all over my body causing bruising. Pregnant patients beware of this effect.
