My doctor told me this wasn't as effective as combo birthcontrol pills. However, I have taken camila for a awhile and found it effective. My one dissapointment is if I take Camila late, but within the two hours to be considered still effective, a few days in a row my menstural cycle was thrown off. When I took my medication on scheduale my menstural cycle came like clock work.

I HAD TWO MISCARRIAGES BECAUSE OF THIS DRUG! After my first son was born my doctor put me on Camila while I was breastfeeding. When my son was 10 months, I got pregnant immediately after going off Camila and at 6 weeks miscarried. I had another son a year later and again went on Camila while breastfeeding. I again got pregnant immediately after going off the pill when my son was 8 months and m...

I am 5'9" 150lb 22 years old. I was on Previfem for 7 years to regulate my period. I was having problems with mood swings and wanted to illuminate my period so I switched to Camila's continuous cycle. I have been on it for two months and am switching. Here's why. Pros: Easy to use. I didn't get pregnant. When I was in bed with my partner I was extremely lubricated, which he loved. Cons: I was constantly moody. I noticed a slight increase in my appetite and weight but nothing huge. My period happened even though it was not supposed to but it was very mild. THE WORST part was this pill spiked my androgen levels so much that I started experiencing problems I've never had in my life. I've been breaking out like crazy, I have body hair growing in places I never imagined, my sex drive decreased, and my head hair keeps falling out. It's amazing I'm not bald at this point! I also noticed a drop in my energy and willingness to do my normal routine. This medication kind of derailed me. But keep in mind all people react differently to medication. I have a (long gone) history with mood disorders. I hope this helps.Read More Read Less

This was the worst 3 month experience and I will never use Camilla again. I developed depression and extreme fatigue. I stopped feeling happy about anything. My period is irregular and I have no idea when to expect it. My migraines are back and I have headaches for 3 days leading up to when I'm supposed to have my period. I still get my period however I also get the worst yeast infections now too. The pharmacist said this was the same prescription even though I confirmed when the packaging looked different. I asked them to go through my records and find the original BRAND OF PILL I was dispensed and they did. No I am returning to NoraB and I hope these symptoms go away. Listen to your body...not all brands of hormones are the same and this is by far the worst. Read More Read Less

Stopped taking this today. It made me very psycho like. Extreme mood swings, problems with my vision, frequent migraines, irregular periods, decreased sex drive, extreme bloating. I absolutely hate it. I started taking this in December 2014, and been taking it since. Usually I am a happy girl, but this pill gave me a really bad depression and extreme mood swings frequenty. I am very unhappy with it. This drug is evil. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL.

I started this two months ago for cysts on my ovaries and uterus. It has gotten rid of all body hair that's unwanted, and I feel generally better and healthier. I couldn't take any other kind of BC since I have tried nine kinds and got sick from all of them because my estrogen is too high. Anyways, this is also good for me because I am an anorexic in recovery, and it helps keep my medication and hormones in line so I can better control my disorder.

I have been taking this drug for aproximately 1 month. I was initially scared reading all of the negative reviews, but i have had a great experience! No real side effects, I began taking it on the first day of my cycle as directed, and it lessened the length of my period by 2 days! i normally have a 5-6 day period and i was done in about 3 days. I like this pill a lot, as i cannot take the combo pill due to depression and history of blood clots. the only thing that makes me nervous is remembering to take it at the same exact time. i was late taking it by 45 minutes and was freaking out! after i read online it said to use a back up method for the next 48 hours if you miss the time by 3 hours or more. i still used a back up method last night and will continue to just to be safe. otherwise, i have no complaints and would recommend this to others! I have a 11week old baby and started taking this rx 2 weeks after giving birth. After caring a baby 8 months in my womb (I forget about a period and taking this rx doesn't make it any easier for me to know when is my period due, because im bleeding 2 weeks out the month. I am breastfeeding/pumping, so thats why my OBGYN prescribed rx. I am seriously considering to stop breastfeeding, so my body/period can return back to normal(before pregnancy). I really hate this birthcontrol pill.

I started taking Camila after I had my daughter 4 months ago. My doctor prescribed it because I'm still breastfeeding. I am very dissatisfied with it. I've been having a full week long period about every 2 weeks. It's very inconvenient to be on your period that often. Not to mention also that I've gained 10 lb since I started taking the pill and my hair has started to fall out. I'm glad I came across this website. I thought I was the only one having these issues.

I would 0 star satisfaction if I could. Yes, it works as birth control BUT only because you're bleeding most of the time and can't have sex. I got my period twice in one month and have spotting in between. I'm not pregnant, I took various pregnancy tests and went to the doctor. I'm switching to gianvi.

I was on Camila for about 7 months after getting migraines on a pill with estrogen. At first it seemed okay, but as the months went on, I started getting terrible acne, gaining weight, and becoming very moody. I also started losing a LOT of hair. When I stopped taking the pill, I lost 7 pounds in a week without changing my diet or exercise regimen and my acne cleared up within a month.

I began using this because of my headaches/migraines which I don't get anymore thank god! My periods are very irregular. Last month I had what appeared to be two periods. My boobs get very sore, which I never experienced before. And the pressure and pain I get in my ovaries is extremely uncomfortable. This has happened every month since I started. I really want to change because the irregular period thing is really effecting mine and my boyfriends sex life.

My doctor prescribed Camila (.35mg) to ease my menstrual cycle. I have a history of blood clots making a combo pill out of the question. I've been on this pill for an entire cycle and my period is lighter. I've read a few reviews here that are rather frightening. The side-effects I've experienced have been tolerable. After I take the pill in the morning I'm moodier and often have slight cramping but that doesn't last long. As for using it as a method of BC, I don't trust it completely. When I'm nearing ovulation I use a back-up method, and this was recommended by my doctor. So far, so good!Read More Read Less

I took Camila for 3 years as birth control. I was prescribed this pill because I have migraine headaches with aphasia and couldn't take a pill with estrogen. I was always very careful about taking the pill on time (I used my cell phone alarm) and it proved to be effective. My biggest annoyance was the unpredictable periods. I would have a period then not have one for 6 weeks, than have one 2 weeks later. Sometimes they would last 3 days, sometimes almost 2 weeks. Other than that I had no other noticeable side effects. When my husband and I decided to start trying I went off Camila and was pregnant about a week later, so it was certainly doing its job! Overall, I would recommend Camilia if you need to take a progesterone only pill for any reason.Read More Read Less

Since I started taking Camila about 4 months ago I have developed really bad acne on my chin. I have never had acne like this in my life and I hate it. I also have very irregular periods that take two weeks to come on where I have the cramps and moodiness, but no flow. I do not like this pill at all.

I'm 23 and within the first 6 months of taking Camila I have an ovarian cyst the size a baseball, a benign tumor in my breast, haven't gone more than 2 weeks without getting a full period and my hair is falling out in handfuls. This pill is ruining my life... I'm done

My doctor put me on Yaz 3 years ago to help control bad periods and for 3 years I was period/cramp free with NO pms symptoms. Last month I was going through a stressful time and my blood pressure was up so my doctor switched me to Camila. This was upsetting enough since my blood pressure has always been perfect and I loved Yaz results. My blood pressure has since returned to normal. I've been on Camila since mid-December and my experience has been AWFUL. I can't take it anymore and after seeing how so many others on this website have suffered I'm calling my doctor tomorrow. My period is back worse then ever and so painful I have to stay in bed. My mood swings are intense and I cry easily. My normally clear skin has severely broken out and is ruined. Since I'm not sexually active and only use the pill to control cramps/bleeding Camila only makes things worse. My doctor dropped the ball on this one!Read More Read Less

I started taking this pill because I would have terrible periods (cramping to the point where I couldn't move, vomiting and fainting) and because I suffer from migraines so my doctor didn't want to put me on a pill with estrogen. The first month was difficult, my mood swings were insane, I was crampy all the time, my breasts were tender (something that never happened before) and my period continued as normal. Now, I am 5 months in and remain unsure of this pill. For instance, in November I had a magical three day period with almost no flow and no side effects. December's period was a full EIGHT days of Niagra Falls and mood swings that set me off into a sobbing fit over things like my boyfriend showing me a picture of a puppy. I haven't noticed any weight gain or increased acne or headaches since I started Camila; however, I have noticed increased emotional instability especially around my period. My periods do remain irregular but I am used to that by now so it's not anything particularly bothersome. All in all I'd give it a B. What are some minor inconveniences when I don't have to worry about getting pregnant?Read More Read Less

i have been on camila for a year now. at first it was rough (mood swings, headaches, irregular periods). camila got rid of my periods all together. i wouldnt even get spotting. however about a month ago i started getting severe cramps and got my period out of the blue. that period was so bad and was accompanied by terrible migraines. i then got my period 2 weeks later, but it was just occasional spotting. i called my gyno and she said that was normal. overall i am decently satisfied with this BC.Read More Read Less

I've been on Camila for over a year now. My gyno decided it was best for me because I'm close to 35 and I smoke so she refused to give me a combo pill. I have no side effects on Camila and as long as you remember to take the pill around the same time everyday, it's effective in preventing pregnancy. I chose to take mine in the morning right after I drop my son off at school and that time has worked well for me since I never forget to take it. Camila is the only form of birth control I am using with my partner and it's worked fantastic for me. It's much easier on the body than the combo pill and you simply take one pill a day (even during your period) at the same time each day to get the maximum pregnancy protection.Read More Read Less

I was taken off of Yaz when I turned 40 because of the estrogen in it. Yaz worked very well for me. After month two of being Camila, I am miserable. Two weeks straight of headaches, I have gained over five pounds, increase in acne, very vivid dreams and lack of restful sleep, my blood pressure is up and I am an emotional wreck. Also, hair loss. I have just stopped taking it in hopes of regaining some normalcy and balance in my life. This was an awful experience for me.
