This is the first birth control I totally love. I've been on it for over 2 years. I take it on time every day at the same time. I never have my period unless I decide to take myself off the pill for a month just to cycle. I don't get any mood swing or have I gain any weight. It hasn't affected my breast size one bit. I'm 28 years old standing at 5'3 tall and weight 125 lbs. I've tried other birth ...

I was prescribed this medication at my postpartum check up as I elected to breastfeed my baby and needed something that wouldn't hinder such. I had never been on BC before so I wasn't sure if the acne, weight-gain, moodiness and general feeling of panic were normal. After two months, my headaches got so bad that I went to the ER where I learned that I was pregnant with TWINS... Needless to say, no...

I've been on this pill for 3 months now. I have my period every 2 weeks. I never have any signs its coming just shows up. Its very inconvenient. I am not happy with this birthcontrol at all. My moods change very easily. I'm breaking out more then I ever have in my life. My skin seems more dry, and irritated. My hair lacks its shine.

I was prescribed this medication because of my heavy painful periods. Since I am prone to migraines, I was told this is better for me to use then the combination pill. I started Nora Be 3 1/2 months ago and feel I've given it adequate time to adjust. I am not happy with it all. Though I have not gained any weight (I was terrified of that, so I have been super diligent at eating light and exercising), I have a period every 2 or 3 weeks and feel like I am bleeding or spotting constantly. I've ruined countless underwear because I never know when it is coming; I bleed for longer then usual (I'm going on my 11th day of bleeding as we speak), and I still get cramps. The cramps are not quite as bad, but still painful. My first cycle I had very painful breasts and terrible mood swings, and they really haven't gotten all that much better. The only benefits to me have been that I don't break out as often, and the cramps are not as severe. Unfortunately I don't feel those benefits outweigh the side effects, so I am quitting as of today.Read More Read Less

So about a year ago I took this pill consistently, stopped it for a couple months, took a generic brand of it noticed a difference and went back on the Nora Be. When I went back on it I noticed my sex drive wasn't the same and instead of getting wet (like I used too), it's more of a pasty consistency and not lubricating like I used to be. Does anyone know what this is about? I also almost never have my period unless i miss a few days.

I've been taking Nora-Be for almost 7 weeks. I didn't have a cycle my first month, then I started on week 6. My period has been moderate for the last 5 days. I am hoping it is close to ending. The cramping is worse than when I was not taking any BC, but not much worse than when I took the combination pill. I do have two alarms set so I can take it close to the same time every single day, so that can be annoying at times, but overall not unbearable. I'm not pregnant, so it's worked there, but the first month I had a lot of bloating and cramping and breast pain. That seems to have subsided some, and I hope it eventually levels out except at the time for my period. I miss my Yasmin, but I feel better with my family history of breast cancer on not taking anything with estrogen. Read More Read Less

Currently nursing 12m old, started taking this pill at 3m post partum when my period began again. Was regular for the first 6months and now I am all over the place. I bled off and on an entire month. And now I am on my second month of a 35+ day cycle. I thought the weird cycles were because I was off an hour or more on taking my pill. But then I've been constant with my pill taking and things are still off. Frustrated.

I've been on this drug for only six days-I'm 6 weeks postpartum and I am BFing. In the past I was on ortho tri cyclenlo and I never had any problems. My experience with Nora-be in such a short time has been awful! My side effects include: migraines so bad that it makes my whole face hurt, moodiness, I've started my period already! Muscle aches, and dizziness. I wonder if it's my body adjusting to the hormone but after reading everyone else's reviews I'm afraid that it seems legal it's likely to get worse. Debating on what to do...Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this pill since I was breastfeeding. My doc said it was my only option and didn't explain these side effects. I decided to stop taking to after 4 months as I was experiencing: acne, headaches, dizziness, fatigue, low sex drive, moodiness/ depression, and weigh gain (this was awful- I was working really hard to loose baby weight with NO RESULTS). I didn't connect that all of this was related to the pill until I read other peoples reviews, I allow haven't had periods which have made tracking my cycle for future pregnancy impossible.Read More Read Less

You have to take this medication within the hour every single time for it to be effective as a birth control pill. There is no time in the day that is perfect which creates difficult in remembering or scheduling time for me to take the pill. I have also had severe bouts of nausea and dizziness for two weeks due to this medication.

I took Nora Be for 6 months. This pill is horrible! My doctor prescribed this pill to me since I am prone to migraines and cannot take anything with estrogen. The first 2 weeks on this pill were fine, after that, it all went downhill. In the entire 6 months I took nora be, I bled almost constantly. I would have 3-4 day breaks between breakthrough bleeding/periods. Constant breakouts, huge painful zits. I weighed 142 when I was perscibed this pill and at my most recent doctors appointment I weighed 164. I have always ate healthy and excersise 5 days a week. I read about the weight gain assosiated with this pill and made a point not to give into cravings. I resisted the hunger urges and made no changes to my diet and STILL gained a little over 20 lbs. I hated this pill. HATED it. Taking a new pill now with a very low dose of estrogen and it's like night and day. I feel like I have control of my body back. I gave nora be a chance and regret it. This birth control was horrible to me. I couldn't eat anything without feeling nauseous. I started breaking out really badly, even in places that I have never had pimples before (like on my back and head). My hair and face were constantly oily and have never had a problem with that before either. I had a swollen lymph node in the back of my head that went away two days after i stopped taking this pill. I switched to this birth control because my other one was too expensive. Worst mistake of my life. Read More Read Less

I had to switch to Nora-BE because I suffer from migraines with aura, which is a no-no for combo pills. I started it over 3 months ago and have had non-stop spotting with maybe 1 period (I can't really tell since I've been spotting 3 weeks out of every month). I had crazy mood swings the first month and a half; crying at my desk, getting in fights with my boyfriend, snapping at friends & family, etc. I also had some pretty serious pimples the first two months, but now my skin seems to be getting back to normal (minus the fact that it's SUPER oily now). For anyone who is taking this or thinking of taking it, I would recommend trying it for 3 months to see if it works for you, since some of the symptoms will get better with time. But if this constant bleeding doesn't stop soon, I'm going off of it. What's the point of birth control if you can't have sex because you're bleeding and cramping 24/7?Read More Read Less

This medication was prescribed to help me get my period regularly and it has work. I haven't had any side affects thank God. Best of luck to everyone getting on the pill remember every body reacts differently to medications.

This is a terrible pill. Within the first couple weeks, I got my first ever migraine and had them 4-5 times a week after that, along with blurry vision. The only time I wasn't spotting is when I was having the heaviest period known to woman, which lasted twice as long as my previous non-pill periods. It made a fibroid I had grow so quickly that my uterus tried to deliver it and I wound up in emergency surgery last month. My doctor said the heavy bleeding was due to the fibroid but, a week after the surgery, the heavy bleeding started again, and the headaches and vision problems were never alleviated. I took myself off of it 10 days ago and I feel so good! No bleeding, spotting or headaches. I cannot believe the misery I endured the past 90 days on this pill and would never recommend it to anyone. I was on this pill for 12 months. The symptoms and side effects just kept getting worse, so i stopped it a month ago and am not on any birth control. To be short, I will list the symptoms: -nausea -abdominal cramping -indigestion -rashes with watery bumps -bleeding for about 25 days a month! (It did not start out this way, but it would be more spotting and bleeding every month!) -hair loss (a lot!) -hormonal/emotional instability The worst parts were the rashes on my arms with constant itching, and the constant bleeding. This pill is ridiculous. I don't recommend this!Read More Read Less

I was on and off with progesterone and estrogen birth pills and couldn't find one that didn't give me a headache. I have be pen on this pill for 2 months. No headaches, I have no spotting and regular period! I feel stress free and relaxed knowing I found this pill that works for me.

I hate this birth control. Nora-be is horrible. This is my second month on it, my first period was heavier than I have ever had in my life and I've been spotting between periods. I can't stand it. Getting off this birth control asap.

I only lasted two months taking this pill. It is effective in that I did not get pregnant...but it's a pain to take a pill at exactly the same time every day and it gave me horrible acne. I never broke out, not even as a teenager, but this pill completely changed my skin. I've been off for two months and I'm still trying to get it back to how it was before. Nightmare!
