Cardiac symptoms - nearly constant palpitations that stopped about l week after discontinuing Zetia; rash on extremities which went away 4-5 days after discontinuing medication.

I'd been on Advicor for two years and it had only reduced my colesterol by 20 points. After two months on Zetia, I was down to 155 with good cholesterol at 64 - that was a 42 point drop in overall count. Small pills for easy swallowing and no side effects for me.

Comment:
This is my third experience with cholesterol medication and all of them inflame my joints and bother my muscles. The side effects interfere with excersizing and I am tired of this discomfort. I have high chloesterol of 99 but can't control the bad even by diet. Help

In 2 months my Cholesterol dropped from 195 to 159, Triglycerides from 136 to 93, LDL from 135 to 107, and CHD (Coronary Heart Disease Risk) from 5.9 to 4.8
