Strattera worked greatly for my ADD, (i didnt have the hyper part to start with)but it caused a dissapearing appetite for me and constant stomach aches. it made me very focused but how could i go to school sick and un-hungry all the time? i started taking concerta and it works well, no side effects.

My son started this medication at age 8. The recommended dose was too high. He would fall asleep on was home from school. We reduced the dose considerably and found it had very good effect. He has stayed on that dose (20 mg) the last 4 years.

I have been taking this med for 2 months. I am 27 years old and have never felt so tired and "zoned out". Hoping side effects wear off soon! Also, very emotionless.

This medicine is the only adhd medicine that works for my son. He eats and sleeps like a normal child. The other medicines made him hallucinate, we wouldn't, sleep, and wouldn't eat all day.

This medication has helped me greatly I have been able to perform more affectively on my job and my ability to pay attention and focus on everyday activities has improved greatly as well.

Taking this med has change my life!!

My son tried this medication only for about 21/2 months. It took over a month to see any results. However, I did receive a message one time from his teacher asking what had changed with my son, that he had been more focused than she had ever seen him. Unfortunately, my son began having dizzy spells every time he closed his eyes. He constantly complained that his eyes would do crazy things when he shut them and that made it hard for him to get decent sleep. We immediatley took him off the medication and the dizziness stopped. they have worked better than some of the other drugs that i have been given for this condition and have not as much weight with them like i did with the other drugs

I was on this drug about a year ago and I had great results. Unfortunately my insurance will not cover it and I had to stop taking it. I recently went back on it and have not had as good of results as I had before. My syptoms are not controlled and I feel tired most of the time. I am considering behavioral therapy in combination with the drug to see if that helps as I cannot take stimulant drugs due to other medical conditions.

It does not work for me esspecially the 40 mgs the 25mgs is a little better

child only has ADD starting dose 25mg daily ,drop to 10 mg daily because of exstream sleepness.

Was prescribed 25mg, then 40mg, then 80mg over the course of 3 weeks. Might as well could have taken aspirin for ADHD. No change whatsoever.

HEARTBURN!!! I cant believe how bad the Heartburn is! I cant even drink Coffee, Beer, or eat anything"good".. I also cant maintain an erection , and I have trouble with orgasms.. The medicine makes me feel "cracked out".. It's only beem 2 weeks, but im not sure if I can keep taking it.

As an 18 year old boy, I was prescribed to take 40 mg of this drug. It really changed me. I found it a lot harder to be cool and calm in the social atmosphere. It was really hard to focus quickly, I felt dopey and slow around people. So I decided to switch me to a much lower dose of 10 mg. - Personality is back, and I feel a lot wittier then I used to be. Its easy to focus, and I get all A's and B's in school.

i have had mood swings ,and angery all the time while on this med.

i am a narcotic addict, and am very excited to be getting off of ritalin. i must pay out of pocket so it is very expensive but i will find any way to pay for this drug therapy
