This works great with bacterial conjunctivitis. If you have viral conjunctivitis, it won't work. As most people are aware, antibiotics do not affect viruses.

Proceed with extreme caution if you are prescribed this. There are two types of pinkeye, and for one of them this stuff will take your pinkeye and then make it 100X WORSE. Sadly, the doctors basically just assume you have bacterial pinkeye and prescribe this as a default - akin to flipping a coin. And they make no mention of what will happen if they guessed wrong. My eyes went from bad, to wor...

My 10 yr old son has had 2 doses of this medication today. The second dose made him cry because the itching and burning was so bad.

Like many of the other comments, I have been using this products 5 days (of the 7 days directed to me) and despite some restoration of the white in my eyes, nothing really seems to be improving. Still red and itchy and the drops only seem to make it worse. Eyes hurt, burn, and itch constantly. I will continue for the 7 days only because my doctor directed me to. She did mention that the contagion would go away first, which is probably not visible.

My doctor used this to treat an eye infection caused by blepharitis. It burned when I put it in my eyes and in about 5 minutes, the itching was maddening! This is my 3rd day using it and I really can't tell if it's helping.

Eyes still burn a bit and get red just after putting the drops in. No more goop in my eyes, just watery drainage. Only on it for 48hrs, but it seems to be helping.

This is my 2nd day on it & after an hour of it being in my eyes they itch like crazy after every use!!!! They are still red, swollen, & draining. Yes, it was the cheaper choice but I know why now!! I'm calling in the am to get something more effective.

I had a viral infection. This treatment was horrible. My symptoms wer 10x worse over night. When I called the doctor, he put me on a z pack. Did nothing! I am out of work for 1 week and I am in worse shape than the day I went to see the doctor. Next stop will be the emergency room. They are putting me on new drops. Hopefully, the new ones will b better. As for this drug.......it is in the garbage!

I went to a walk-in clinic and was prescribed this medication to treat my pink eye. After two days, both my eyes become worse. I went to my PCP. The NP told me that this drug has been shown to be ineffective in treating the bacteria that causes pink eye and that the practice I went to no longer recommends this RX. I was provided another Rx with two different drugs that have helped to clear up my pink eye quickly.

Did not really seem to do anything. The Dr. said that the diseases would "run its course" in about 7 days without the medication, and that is about what it will the drops.
