This works great with bacterial conjunctivitis. If you have viral conjunctivitis, it won't work. As most people are aware, antibiotics do not affect viruses.

Proceed with extreme caution if you are prescribed this. There are two types of pinkeye, and for one of them this stuff will take your pinkeye and then make it 100X WORSE. Sadly, the doctors basically just assume you have bacterial pinkeye and prescribe this as a default - akin to flipping a coin. And they make no mention of what will happen if they guessed wrong. My eyes went from bad, to wor...

My 2 year old son started using this first and I was happily surprised his sister managed not to get it, but 2-3 days after he stopped using it they both had it again and worse. Then I got it... so for 3 days now we've all been using it... they appear to look better but I'm not so lucky!

After only 1 dose, perscribed by urgent care for eye infection, not pink eye,not really a sty either,(nothing ever drained out of my eye until the reaction from meds) my eye blew out with redness, severe swelling and itching. Next morning Eye almost swolen shut and hampered vision. A pain beyond belief. Spent 2 days with my head under cold water from sink. Switched meds to Vigamox, tobradex and a topical steroid, 9 days later vision is better, but not back to where it was, eyes, lids and under eyes, still red and I look like hell. where do I go for help? I can't tell that this medication helped me at all. My right eye was very inflamed when I started using it so I didn't expect an overnight cure. However I started it in my left eye as soon as the first symptom occured. It didn't make any difference in the severity.

I was told to use this for 7 days. I'm on the 7th day and my eye is still red and I cannot open my eyes in the morning without washing with eyes with warm water.

Used for 5 days as prescribed and symptoms were gone. But then after two days of not using, my symptoms were back and I restarted with improvement.
