I have been on Mononessa for almost 2 months. I have gained 5 pounds, my acne has come back, I have severe mood swings, and I have been on my period for the last month. This is the worst birth control I have ever been on. I would not recommend this for anyone.

While this was an improvement from Lo Loestrin, that's not saying much (my experience with that was awful, terrible mood swings). Mononessa still messes with my mood. Instead of being depressed all the time like I was with Lo Loestrin, I've become very reactive. I can be totally fine one moment and then something my boyfriend says/does just sets me off. I cry very easily. Before I started ... Show Full Comment

I started out of the trinessa, and in the first few months I had really bad acne but after about two or three it completely cleared up and I was acne free for almost a year. But my body wasnt cycling to it properly at all, every month I started my period exactly a week early no matter what I did to recycle myself to it. So I switched to mononess and had the same results. But it did keep my face cl ... Show Full Comment

I've been taking this birth control for 2 years. It hasn't caused me to gain weight but it has made it more difficult to lose it. My acne has cleared up my periods are regular. The only time I'm moody is right before my period. I'd try switching but I'm afraid it'd be worse with another pill
