This has worked great for me. I am allergic to codeine and morphine, but not to this, so I can actually get some relief and rest when I have a bad cold.

I had a persistent night-time hacking cough due to bronchitis. What I really wanted was some sleep. Drug seemed to help with the cough, but I a now totally wired. NO sleep.

I was able to get 35 of the regular Hycodan pills. They really assisted my cough which is related to lung metasasis. I have run out of the name brand and learned that only the generic was being made. I've used the generic for several days and find that it DOES NOT work nearly as well as the name brand Hycodan. What to do?

I was diagnosed with sinus infection and cough. cough was bad that I couldnt sleep. The Hydrocone (generic version) worked great but made me wired absolutley no drowsiness for me. Cough gone but no sleep.

I had persistant dry cough after having influenza. (I did receive the flu vaccine this year) I had not slept for a couple of night, fevers up to 104. My head punded each time I coughed. I was prescribed the tablet, easy to take and it worked well.

I often have a persistent dry cough after a winter cold. Hycodan syrup in the only medication that relieves it. It has no side effects as far as I can tell.

Only took one dose of the generic version. Horrible taste, came back up almost as quickly as it went down. I don't know if it would have been effective or not as I am allergic to Codeine.

I received a generic of this. It was completely ineffective. No effect at all. A great disappointment. I seem to have bronchitis. This surprised me because both codeine and vicodin have been effective before.

Seem to get a persistent cough after a cold. Was prescribed this drug and I take it at night. I can usually sleep for 4-6 hours without waking to cough. After a few days am able to taper to half a pill for a few nights. Easy to take, does make me drowsy.

Stopped my cough, and I didn't gag on the taste. Medicine is not supposed to taste good... however this was not at all bad!

I was just released from the hospital - diagnosed with Pneumonia & Histoplasmosis a fungal infection in my righ lung. I had a lung biopsy a few days ago and due to severe caughing the area in my lung where the biopsy was taken keeps getting aggrivated which causes me to cough up blood. My lung dr. said that this is normal after a biopsy and prescribed hydromet syrp & it is working wonderfully. I would recommend this medication to anyone with a serious cough.

Took this due to broncitis before bedtime. I has work so that I sleep reasonably (4 rating of (4 out of 5)well during the night.

It helped with the cough but I was wired from it not drowzy. So, no cough but still no sleep.

This was supposed to help my cough, but after 2 weeks of taking it my cough was worse, so bad it made me vomit. Breathing inhalers helped on the first try. Hardly any cough.

I have used this for years in the winter when I have a hacking cough that won't let me sleep. The only time I take it is before bed and I have found that as little as 1/4 teaspoon works without the other side effects.

Worked immediately for my bad cough. Also took away muscle cramps. Had a little bit of a sore tummy but it went away within half an hour.
