Comment:
Diagnosed with SLE with liver involvement and this medication has helped a great deal with improvements in blood tests especially liver function. Some mild side effects initially but they finally disappeared.

I HAVE BEEN TAKING PLAQUENIL 200 MG. FOR 9 1/2 YEARS. FOR THE PAST 4 MONTHS I CUT MY DOSE TO JUST 1 A DAY. I AM HAVING A HARD TIME WITH THE PAIN AND I AM THINKING ABOUT GOING BACK ON 2 A DAY.EYE AND LUNG PROBLEMS ARE THE REASON I DECIDED TO CUT THE MED. DOSE. UNDER DR.'S CARE.I GUESS ITS ALL ABOUT QUALITY OR QUANTITY OF LIFE.

I have only been on this drug for a few months and I am noticing a remarkable difference in my achiness and overall fatigue. it is doing exactly what I was told it would do! AMEN!

My daughter was diagnosed with SLE 4 days ago. I was informed by her that her symptoms were deceased on the secnd day that her treatment stared by her Rheumatologist.

Comment:
Plaquenil eased the discomfort of lupus and RH, but over six years use, I gained 60 pounds of weight from fluid. I had allergic breaking out all over my body. This cleared up when I ceased use. I lost the 60 pounds in two months.
