My Dr at the VA decided to prescribe this instead of my 5mg xanex. 100 mg a day of this crap! It is horrible! My daughter said I looked like a true crazy person. My eyes can't focus, My stomach hurts all of the time, I have cramps in my legs, I can't catch my breath, Nightmares every night! My blood pressure is higher, not to mention that my anxiety is worst. This 'stuff' is absolutely the most wretched 'medicine' (and I use the term loosely) I have ever been on! I have had about every adverse reaction there is to have and I am so furious with my Dr. I could almost scream... I suffer from PDST that has debilitated me from a normal life. My psychiatrist changed my anxiety meds prescribing me 50mg 3x daily hydroxyzine Pamoate for my anxiety / panic attacks because she doesn't want me to take Xanax, that has been working for the past 4 years, because it is addictive. I only took .5mg as needed 2 to 4 times daily. I have been taking hydroxyzine pamoate now for 3 weeks ... Show Full Comment

Hdroxyzine did NOT cut it for me. Pros: it help me calm down and go back in my room (where I woke up dehydrated and could really breathe).The room gave me flashbacks and made me panic. Like I said it help me good into the room calm and lie down. But that only seem like demons holding my hand and saying "come on just lay down and let us take you for the RIDE...
