After starting this medicine, things got much worse. I ended up having serious reactions. On the bright side I realize that bipolar medicines are not worth the risks. I'm now healthy and without meds. Back to normal life. But that is thanks to me and my lawyer. I will not recommend this medicine to anyone, of any age.

This medicine has been fantastic! I feel like a whole new person!

This is the only drug that has worked so far for me. The appetite has increased a lot but I am adding exercise into my daily routine to combat any weight gain. I was on seroquel and wanted to kill my self after 1 week on the seroquel. by the 2nd day on symbyax I was feeling better

i have been taking this drug for about 2 weeks now..this is my first anti-depressent ever...i should have started something 2 years ago and am now cracking due to life.. - it has only been 2 weeks but i have noticed some days have been more enjoyable then others. but i think its too soon too really see how well its working, though i would say i do see a bit more livlieness in myself during teh day.. i seem to be sleeping good but im also taking mirapex for my rls wich also has something for sleep..plus the xanax for the anxiety , though the olanzepine in the symbyax is supposed to wotk on that so hopefully i wont need the xanax eventually. my rare suicidal thoughs went from wanting to just die to wanting to die to be in a better place to i just realized i havent really been having them..i am not highly suicidal but would say the thoughts pop up frequently. i will post an updated rewview once i am on it for a month as that is really the time its supposed to take to kick in,. i am 29/male - divorved w/2 kids from a broken home..pretty rough life growing up. i have also noticed some weight gain. increase in appetite for JUNK mostly...though if i control myself i would hope to get the weight down . i would recommend anyone taking this to get some exercize in their routine..even if just a bike ride..that naturally increases seratonin,, i hope to god this works as i have 2 small kids who i dont want to leave stranded in this world. - j Read More Read Less

I was on the brink of suicide. My Dr. put me on Symbyax and I felt better the next day. I have been feeling better every day since. Weight gain is a problem due to the increase in appetite. I hope to be weaned off the med. over the next few weeks. My only remaining medicine will be Lamictal 300mgs.

the medication has helped me tremendously wit my bi polar depression, but I have had excessive weight gain and the medication causes extreme sleepiness even the day after taking it at bedtime,

i was prescribed this medication for about 3 weeks and everything was great until i had gotten blurred vision, had lost my sex desires, and i just recently had a seizure. i had stopped taking it after the seizure scare.

I have been on numerous antidepressants and anxiety drugs, but this drug by far is worth it's cost. I feel more "normal" than I have in years.

I had probably tried 10 different anti-depressants in 5 years and had almost given up on having a normal life until I tried this drug. It has worked miracles for my life and the well being of my family. Everyone I know has noticed such a big change in me. I sleep well, have plenty of energy, and can actually get through a day without bursting into tears over nothing. It is a very expensive drug, but well worth the price for the total change it has brought into my life.

This medication has been great in reducing my "anxiety" where no other drug helped. I sleep better and I have more energy. My husband has noticed a tremendous difference in me. I have noticed a slight increase in my appetite.

Four days after taking samples of this drug, I suffered a full-blown seizure. (No record of seizures in my, or my family medical history.) This incident would most likely have been fatal, if I had not been in the company of others at the time. I have extensive injuries to both shoulders as a result of the seizure, and surgery will be required to correct the issues. My life has cahnged forever, as a result of this nasty drug.

I have had a good experience with this medicine. It has worked for me so far and I only have been on it for about 2 weeks now, and I can already tell and my husband said he can tell also. I would recommend this to anyone.

This has been a miracle drug for. Yes I gained some wieght, but it was well worth it. For the first time in years, I am not suicidal and I don't have sickening thoughts. This medication has helped my greatly.

This drug has been a miracle for me. Not only have my depression and suicidal thoughts alleviated, but I'm also sleep so well at night. The only problem is my hunger. It seems incessant.

The drug worked extremely well for me and leveled me out. The only problem? 22 pounds in 2 months! I have since been put on something else.

I have been taking this medication for about six months and I am sleeping better, do not have suicidal thoughts as frequently and overall I am not as depressed or anxiety ridden. I would recommend this medication to any one struggling with Bipolar Depression. One side effect is that I gained weight with an increased appetite.
