My 11 month old daughter was prescribed to omnicef after amoxicillan did not cure her ear infection. She was given a dose once a day for 2 days and broke out in a very bad rash from head to toe. She has not taken omnicef in 2 days and is still covered with the rash. She is very very clingly and moody which is not normal fir her at all.

I honestly wish my prescription had lasted for more than 10 days. I was prescribed a 10 day round of Omnicef when my ear infection rebounded two weeks after completing a 5-day Z-pack prescription. It got rid of my ear infection, I had no GI problems at all, and there has been no rebound in my ear infection. Surprisingly,I also experienced a wonderful side effect of having my acne COMPLETELY clear ... Show Full Comment
