I seem to experience being irritated. Could be due to steroid use. Also I didn't realize you need to hold the eye shut for a couple of minutes to keep the medicine in as much as possible.

I was prescribed this after having PRK Lasik. I had terrible reactions to this medication, I felt depressed, high heart rate and major anxiety. I asked to be taken off of it right away!

I have had six weeks' treatment with this drug following cataract surgery. Thankfully my surgical center recommended to keep it in the refrigerator to reduce the stinging.

I was diagnosed with Iritis as a result of ankylosing spondylitis. The benefits outweighed the bad taste and the price. It's expensive. Weaning off of the drug is not easy, however.

I had a severe reaction to Pred Forte. Swelling of face and throat. Choking, blurred vision, burning on way down. Was not told to hold corner of eye so it wouldn't go down throat.

Prescribed after cataract surgery-get awful taste in mouth that can't get rid of! Even coffee tastes bad! Gives me a migraine like (not as bad) headache & nauseated from it..? Makes vision blurry. Even makes my 'other' eye hurt & feel swelled..? I don't like this medicine at all! There must be a better treatment...?

I suffer from Uveitis which is inflammation of the iris. I am back on the pred-forte 1 drop 4X a day. The pred-forte makes me swell up. My cloths are tight, my joints are swollen, and I'm sure that my pressure is up in my eye. I am not happy about taking this medicine. As the side effects for me are getting unbearable. My feet were so swollen last night i couldn't get them in my sandles I can't imagine how I'll be in 3 weeks from now.

I am having difficulty weaning off without eye irritation recurring. Am concerned about long term side effects. Difficult to administer as the viscous drops have a habit of bouncing off my eye. Am wondering if a better treatment might be available?

prescribed following PRK vision correction surgery. OD says that it will slow healing but reduces risk of vision regression following surgery. Will be taking for 8 weeks following surgery slowly weaning from 6 times/day to once a day. Vision gets a bit milky for a minute after application and drops sting for a few seconds. Discomfort and vision blurring is well worth my long term eye health and vision!

Diagnosed with iritis, took this med along with dilating med (AK-Pentolate, or cyclopentolate) over the course of approx 3-4 wks. Main discomfort appeared from the dilating med, which also caused blurred vision. I kept the remainder of Pred Forte (prednisolone) after course of treatment and have used a drop on occasion when experiencing various eye irritations. However, only 1 drop at night before bed will usually do the trick. I wear contacts and try to make sure that I don't get any uptake from the contacts. Overall, this has been a very helpful med.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed Pred Forte four times a day after having Lasik. It still burns periodically. After a couple of days, I was able to taste the medication and it gave me a bit of an upset stomach. After unsuccessfully searching for reviews or feedback that would support my experience, I decided to post my own. I haven’t decided if I'm going to complete it as prescribed or if I should just make an adjustment.

This medication was prescribed to me after I had PRK (lasic) surgery. It took awhile for my vision to get better but it was due to the dosage. I went from 4 drops a day to one drop a day. The good thing about all of this is that I have severe allergies combines with sinus pain and pressure. Since I've been on these drops, I have not had any issues. I have actually been able to enjoy the nice weather without any discomforts at all. I will be talking to my doctor to see if I can stay on them longer to control my allergies. Read More Read Less

I have had rebound side effects as I attempted to wean off of the drops. (Redness, tearing, discomfort.)
