I have been taking Dexedrine Spansules for over ten years along with Prozac and Wellbutrin to treat chronic depression and adult Attention Deficit Disorder. That combination has worked very well for me. On two occasions my psychiatrist and I have tried taking the Dexedrine out of the mix, and both times we have seen my ADD symptoms reappear within a week and my depression worsen after about three ...

This drug seriously damaged my body. This drug completely turned me against all pharmaceuticals. I will never use another unnatural molecule into my body ever again. By simply eliminating the causes of my ADHD such as monosodium glutamate and other toxic substances in my diet I became extremely calm and focussed.

I wish I could have had Dex. years ago. I stay focused and am not hyper. If I had this when I was in school i'm 100% positive that my grades would have been so much better.

the reason i put this review in the adhd condition is because i find focusing very difficult. i take dexedrine for narcolepsy, it does a great job of keeping me awake, but i still find it hard to focus. which seems odd since it should also help with focus as well as staying awake. dexidrine gave me dry mouth when i first began taking it, but it went away after a while. i did take two doses one morning on accident once. it caused serious heart palpatations for months, SO BE CAREFUL. i have taken dexedrine fro 10 years now. i take it sometime between first hitting the snooze and when i finally get up. i don't feel dependant on the medication , but wouldn't want to not take it unless i can stay in be dall day and sleepRead More Read Less

I have been ADD all my life and have tried numerous meds over life time. Ritalin worked ok when younger but Dex changed my life. I can stay focused, get my work done, and feel "normal." I have found it to be harder to manage some of my symptoms as I get older but they are not related to being too hyper that's for sure. I eat well and sleep with taking this medication. My worst problems are with the mail order pharmacy I use and getting to my Dr. who is 2 hrs away.

I was prescibed this drug my senior year in high school and wish I would have had it sooner. I went from dropping out with a 1.0 GPA to graduating and going on to college with a 3.6 GPA. I guess it works!

I have chronic kidney failure and am using peritoneal dialysis. I quickly became depressed and was given Wellbutrin in combination with Paxil and Clonazapam. I found I would not remember to keep my dialysis log book consistent and would forget to even do the dialysis some days not taking medicines. This was leading to even more failing health until I was finally diagnosed with ADD. Within a short amount of time and some trial and error I was given Dexedrine. I began to do much better with my dialysis and my mind was paying attention to what I was doing. I have moderate to high blood pressure but the Dexedrine made very little change to my blood pressure. Dexedrine was the missing drug in my therapy and now with the right combinations of Dexedrine and my other medications my Kidney problems are much better controlled by increased attention and the will to take better care of my possible life threating condition. I am very grateful for this medication.Read More Read Less

Focusing isn't as sharp as Ritalin, but seems to allow for better creativity.

I havnt had anything but very mild ticks they grew out of.i had gpa's go from 1.9 to 3.7 and up. Ilove this drug i think it will make a huge difference in their lives to have a good education.

I have very SEVERE CFIDS/ME and spend about 85% of the time completely bedridden. On the days that I feel I might be able to function a bit, I have to take the Dexedrine in order to be able to get up, dress myself, and go about my day almost like a "normal" person. I was taken off of this med once, and spent an entire year in bed, and went from my always normal weight of 100lbs, to over 200lbs

Adult ADD. No Hyperactivity. I was being treated for Anxiety and depression. Tried 8-10 different medications. Finally, was diagnosed with ADD. Tried Concerta. Bad side effects. Now on Dexedrine Spansules. So, far it is helping a lot.

This Medication has been a God sent! I remember that when ever I have been actually able to recieving this medication I was a more productive individual in 90% of my daily activities. Compared to the normal 20-35% Every time I have my medication I know that my head is finally back on my shoulders and I am able to finally focus and accomplish the tasks I am expected to!!! This is very helpful with my diabetes control and I am thankful that I still have no secondary complications to Diabetes after 25yrs. I have been taking Dexedrine now for a solid 6mo. and have seen the help it has done with my Diabetes!!!Read More Read Less
