Took BuSpar as a 1st trial prescription for anxiety, found increased aggression and unusually violent. Did not feel like myself at all. Stopped taking immediately. On Alprazolam ER 1mg now, much better. Mainly calm throughout the day

Soon after, I started waking up in the middle of the night with loud ringing and noise in my head. I had to get up and walk around to calm myself down enough to sleep. A few days later I had a horri ... Show Full Comment

Like a few others here have written, this was given to me in lieu of any form of Benzo. Again as others here have noted, while the Benzo is an ideal fix (for me it's Lorazapam)my personal history of ETOH abuse in most MD's mind excludes me from treatment involving any. Benzo. They simply WILL NOT prescribe it for me, though I have two years sobriety. I have had small doses of Serax ok& ... Show Full Comment
