This medication works well for me, but while using it have leg cramping. Wonder if other users have this problem.

I went on Vytorin 10/20 and after a year there was NO change. THEN, the Doc added 145mg of Tricor 1 x day to go along with the Vytorin 10/20 and that was an almost instant success. As far as side effect go; I pretty much had none; and still don't. But I've lost almost 50lbs since my last blood test and hopefully I can come off either the Tricor or the Vytorin; or start a lower dose of them..

I have only been on Vytorin for three days, I have developed a few welts and a small rash around the back and side of my neck. At this time I am not sure if the drug has caused it or not. I am going to stop the drug for a few days and see what happens. If my condition clears up I will resume taking the drug. If the welts and rash re-appear I will stop taking Vytorin. I previously took Lipitor and Crestor, but developed weakness in my legs so the doctor gave me samples of Vytorn to try. My Colestoral is now 193 up from 100 when I was on Lipitor, but I have been off Lipitor and Crestor for almost a year.Read More Read Less

My Doctor placed me on a 10-20 mg daily pill to help lower my cholesterol and raise the good cholestrol. After being on the medication over a year, my bad cholesterol is always under 100 but it hasn't helped to raise my good cholesterol count.

During that time I have experienced neck, back, leg pain, calves, ankle. Pain lasts about a month. Disappears only to reappear 6 months to a year later. Am going thru vascular testing at present because of pain on right side from hip to ankle. Found comments very intersting.

This medication has worked well for me. I have been taking it for a few years. I do experience leg cramps from time to time. This is a concern for me, which I plan to talk to the doctor about.

I was on Vytorin 10/20 for 1 year. I started having diarrehea almost immediatly especially right after a meal and in the mornings. Some days I'd be driving and I felt like I was going to pass out. Extreme tiredness. Dr says its Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Anxiety. Funny, never had this problem before taking Vytorin!

my numbers were lowered after being on this medication approx 6 months. one of my drs told me he had seen a possible connection between vytorin and cancer, but as soon as I changed back to Lipitor my numbers went up again. After some study my family dr did not find and connection with cancer and vytorin.
