So, far it has helped me with the pain. It has not taken the pain away but it helps me throughout the day and makes it bearable for me so that I can deal with the pain during the day. As of right now I only take 1 pill a day which is a oral 30 mg pill as I say for right now it helps and not sure when it will stop working for me . Oh! and by the way I have been taking this pill for 2 weeks now so not sure how long it will help me deal with the pain and I take it for the nerve pain of shingles and my torn labraum.Read More Read Less

I've been taking 30 mg morphine tablets 3 times a day for 3 years now to ease the pain of fibromyalgia, osteo arthiritis, and rheumatoid arthiritis. It does keep the pain at about 5, which to me is a tolerable level. The bad for me is depression, inability to be fully functional and productive, and some balance issues.... Is it worth it? I don't know anymore. I'd trade most everything I have for just 1 pain free day!!!!!

I began using morphine after being referred to a pain clinic by my neurologist after having been evaluated in a hospital. This, along with the 100 mg oral tablets, has been the only drug that has managed the severe pain I have from multiple diagnoses of several medical problems. This 20 ml solution helps to alleviate the most severe pain. I only use it 3-4 times a week, only when the pain becomes unmanageable with the oral tablets. The only problems I have discovered is occasional constipation, but drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of fruits and vegetables helps alleviate this minor problem. I don't even need to use a laxative anymore! Read More Read Less

car accident caused numerous injuries, most serious being lacerations to liver and fractured hip & socket which required a plate to be placed behind my pelvis. There were alot of other injuries, but since I've had 2 back surgeries, & a orthopedic trauma surgeon had to completely redo my hip & socket, etc.

Morphine dulled the pain however did not completely eradicate it. I would not recommend it due to the mental dullness it creates.

I broke my back in 1993 and have had 3 surgeries. They want to do another but they say there is a 33% chance it will work, a 33% chance it won't and a 33% chance it will paralyze me. Not a good average for me. I started going to a pain specialist and went through 18 steroid shots along my spine, that didn't give any relief, then 12 other shots which I don't exactly know what they were but they did give me some help with reducing the pain. All through these shots I have been on hydrocodone 5/500 and for about two years before them and I guess have become immuned to it. After the first shots started he put me on Gabapentin, which he said was for seizures but also deadened the nerve endings. Which I'm not really sure it is doing any good. With the last shots he started me on morphine sulfate, it is a time-released one that is taken every 12 hours. It works to some extent but it doesn't take away all the pain. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll find something that works and doesn't make me doped up. Read More Read Less
