I tried Eszopiclone last night before bed at 3 mg and it is the best sleep aid on the planet for me. Everybody is different but I have tried every drug for Insomnia and Anxiety. So if you are looking for something different and you have tried them all and not yet tried Eszoiclone, then give it a try. All it makes you feel is a relaxed feeling to help you feel tired. It's not forceful like Trazadon...
I was on lunesta, went to get refills and was sent eszopiclone 3mg. I took 1 hour before bedtime at 10 pm. it is now 3 am! :(

Works best on an empty stomach and low caffeine intake such as one morning cup of tea. Daily exercise helps.takes at least one hour to work. I keep my bedroom completely dark, put a sock over my phone and TV pin light. A godsend to me after so many sleepless nights.Ambien put me in a bad mood.

I took Lunesta for several years with wonderful success now the insurance co. has me taking the generic. Oddly the generic cost me more the Lunesta and it does not work as well. I will wake up through the night and have slept walked as well apparently though a houseplant was the toilet. As concerning as that was my greatest is that it will only help sleep for about 3hrs. I want my Lunesta back.

Did nothing. Another way for big pharma to make $ for nothing. Just a generic placebo. Tightwad insurance company decided this is better for me. NOT!

The reason I am taking this is because my insurance decided after many years to change from Lunesta to this. So far when I have gotten up during the night once I felt light headed and once I flat out passed out!! I have never done this in my life!!

The 2 mg tablet helps me to obtain a deeper sleep and the ability to get back to sleep when I awake for nightly pit stops. I only get about 5.5 hrs of sleep at night and I often need an hour nap during the day. Overall I feel better rested than years prior to taking Lunesta.

Lunesta worked fine for me to get proper sleep......but the Eszopiclone must be weaker as it is not as effective. ( my insurance always wants the generics ordered...)

I've had chronic insomnia for years. I've tried a laundry list of medications to help and this one was by far the WORST experience I have had on a medication. Not only did it not help me sleep at all, but one night at around 4am I had horrific hallucinations and thought I was going to die.

My son age 25 was taking this drug. The only problem was that he would forget he took the pill and take another an hour later. When I would try to keep him from taking more he would become very angry at one point pushing me down. He is not ata all a violent person and it became clear after a few minutes that he was asleep but still talking and walking- very unsteadily around. It is my belief that this medication is too dangerous to be on the market.

I have been a long time user of this medication (2 years +). It has been given to counteract a stimulant prescribed in the morning for AADD. Yes it has a metallic after taste every morning but it will go away over breakfast. If using for excessive amounts of time like me, you will gradually have to increase the dose, as your body will become accustomed to it. Overall, though, I can't complain as it is relieving the insomnia in question, but I can't sleep without it. I have become relient on it.Read More Read Less

Ambien seems to work faster for me. I have PTSD and when I hear sirens or helicopters I have the hardest time falling asleep. And it’s not just falling asleep, it’s staying asleep. I am taking 1 tablet of 3 MGs. It does work. It just takes too long for me and does not keep me asleep.

Sent home with samples of "Lunesta" to try it first. Took it first night, woke up next day and had a nasty taste in my mouth for about 12 hours that day. Missed a night, didn't take it and thought I'd try again the next night. Wham! Same nasty taste in mouth - almost like a metal taste. Not going to take it for that reason only.

This drug was good getting you to sleep. It eases you into it sleep, instead of just knocked you out. But the reason it was working for me is that I woke up a hour later wide awake. It just couldn't provid a full nights sleep.
