I refused to believe I was bi-polar until a new psych suggested I try Lamictal and I am so much better than I have ever been before. Thank God I found this doctor. Lamictal saved me from suicide; I was getting very close!

I have only been on this med for a pinch over one week and I have noticed more headaches and menstrual irregularities. I haven't been on it long enough to know if it's helping my seizures.

I just started taking the orange starter kit less than a week ago and have already felt a HUGE difference in my mood/depression.I seem to have a better out look on things. I may not even have to add a mild antidepressant after all. This just may be the wonder drug! I go back to my Doc. in a couple of weeks for a reveiw on how it's working. I sure hope it continues. I've had enough of these constant ups & downs.Only one downfall I must tell you is I've been having a bit of insomnia.Best of luck to all of you!Read More Read Less

way to expensive. Pharmacutal companies making a bundle. generic's are no bargain either. Want to switch to something comprible and affordable. even insurance won't pay the outlandish price. about $5.00 a pill. yes A pill. That's $15.00 a day for the typical patient. Whos mercedes and beach home am i paying for?

Right from the start I noticed a change in the way i felt about things. It made me very agressive, irritable, made my anxiety so much worse.. I felt like i was plotting against everyone.. It was just a horrible experience with me that after 1 week i made myself stop and talked to my doctor.

I was prescribed this by my psychiatrist as a mood stabilizer for my bipolar disorder. It worked, but I had to stop using it as I started having a very flushed (red) face, rash on my arms and legs (which started itching). These are listed as potentially bad side effects. Unfortunately I had to discontinue the drug.

I was taking 100mg Zoloft for three months for depression. I felt horrible. I don't think I had depression. I was constantly grumpy so my Dr. had me try Lactimal. This is my sixth day of 25 mg and I feel awesome. The only setback is I'm so wound up after bartending for 12 hours I can't go to sleep. I'm praying I don't get the rash my Dr. warned me about because I LOVE LACTIMAL. I 'll see how I do on higher dosages in a few weeks!

I got 12 days into the starter pack and really started to notice a difference. However I got a acne rash all over my body and I itched all over for days. I called my doctor and stoped taking it. Within two days the rash and itch was gone. I was sad that it happened because I really felt it starting to work.

I had very good results with each dosage increase. About 2-3d before each increase, I would get very weepy but the increase from the starter pack would alleviate that.

I noticed a difference the minute I started taking it, however I'm having a problem with insomnia and have been trying a variety of sleeping pills all of which have had an opposite affect (except for my husband's valium, and had to take 5 of them to sleep the night through). I haven't noticed any other symptoms except I did get a head cold 2 weeks into it. The worst problem is getting the pills out of their carboard container!!!!! This is the first time I've been treated for being bipolar, every other time it was for regular depression and NONE of those meds worked for me over time.Read More Read Less

At the end of the orange kit and my racing thoughts have subsided so that I can think clearly. I have experienced insomnia and shortness of breath quite frequently. The agitation has also increased so DR is adding a new med to my list. I will stay on it a little longer to see if the combo of drugs will help the effectiveness. Just be careful about the rash. I did get a rash each time the dose was doubled. Both times happened about 2-4 days following the double dose. It was on both of my forearms and itched like crazy but went away in 2 hours. Pharmacist said that as long as it didn't hurt and no other side effects (fever, etc) then I was OK. Just be careful and always let a pharmacist or your doctor know if you get the rash no matter how small it may be.Read More Read Less

I was taking Lexapro for the last year and a half and over the last month my family and friends were begging me to go to my dr. the lexapro had stopped working for me. i have manic episodes and swing into a sadness (NOT suicidal). mostly manic phases and LOTS of anxiety. so i went and she put me on lamictal. i've been on it for 3 days and i'm still "high as a kite" flying around my house getting stuff done, figity. i personaly don't think it's working for me. on top of that i now have extremely dark urine. which is a "go to your dr. immediately" side effect. soooo, i'm going back to the dr on monday to check in and figure out what the hell is going on. but basically i don't think it's working for me.
