I have looked but can't find info on hot false after starting this drug.Had a hysteromy 22 years ago now that I'm on Boniva for the last 4 months the last 3months I have been having Hot Flashes. Thinking about discontinueing I can't stand the Hf. But have a severe bone loss.

I was 60, very healthy and quite active when I began taking the once-a-month Boniva. Experienced no side effects but after 18 months I got concerned about side effects I read about. My bone density test showed that my bone density was less than when I started. My Dr now wants me to take forteo but I'm not convinced that's the right thing either. I really don't know what to do.
