I had my second shot this afternoon. I had a couple of weeks in between because I got Covid.. I will say not even one day after the first shot my knee felt fabulous… so even though my injections are spread apart, I have one that I just did today and one that I’m doing next week. My doctors office says that it usually takes three weeks after the last shot to determine its effectiveness but my experience has been wonderful so far. I’ve gotten three series of bi-lateral EUFLEXXA injections over the past six years. The first time it lasted 15 months, the second time 19 months, and the third time 23 months. No problem getting the injections, rest for 48 hours afterwards, and then back to tennis. The doctor giving the injections makes a difference. I’m a male in my 70’s and highly recommend getting the injections. Hope it works for you.

I just had my second injection yesterday. My first injection it did not hurt and I had one good day of mobility. The second injection hurt so much that I cried. This morning my knee is swelled up and I am debating getting the third injection next week.

I have been receiving Euflexxa to both knees every 6 months for the past 7 years. It works for me. At the 5 month mark my knee pain is 7-10/10. After my first injection at month 6 I rate my pain 0-1/10. I started my treatment before I was bone-on-bone, a fight with my insurance but worth it.

After 3 rounds and 1 week later I have no appreciable benefit from Euflexcia. I had bilateral injections without incident. The right knee is more swollen since being injected.I had much better luck with Zilretta although that lasted only 2 months but near instant relief.

Six weeks after my final injection, one knee, which was the better of the two, is now WORSE. I have MORE pain and a lot of inflammation. The other knee, is only mildly better. I paid a lot of money for more pain.

I got my last 1on feb7, 23 I'm still limping and have to use a cane brace, I take 2-3steps and my knee will dip like its going to give out i called the company they said it should be doing that I have a torn cartilage too I wish I could have got my surgery be about healed now I think a nerve was hit , something wrong, no ultra sound was used and I didn't lay down I watched videoes before I got them now my knee hurts too its digging when I climb steps the top hurts all the time I've done theropy no help I wish I left the shots alone the Dr said it probably not going to work when I got the last 1, after the very 1st shot I couldn't get out of bed had to get help super stiff swelling I still have to take ibuprofen, use bengay, braceRead More Read Less

Waiting to get 2nd shot but absolute game changer after the 1st. Walking down stairs went from a slow walk to a stair skipping sprint. Felt like my knees were 20 years younger with bounce, elasticity and zero instability/discomfort. Shot was a no brainer - barely felt it (both knees) and was skiing, squatting and playing tennis THE NEXT DAY. Highly recommend for anyone who feels like their knees are grinding or walks with knee instability.

I will eventually need a knee replacement but I am an active 68 year old woman and I will put it off as long as I can. Euflexxa injections are supposed to last 3-6 months I was told, my first time lasted 1 year. I had it done again, I wear my heels, danced all night at my daughter’s wedding g and I have NO pain! Do yourself a favor. Try it!!

The three injections were painless; I felt pressure, but no pain. However, instead of a lessening of my knee pain, I have had an increase. My right knee, which is the one that is bone on bone with more pain, had increased pain with some of the pain in new locations. My left knee, which is much better and not quite bone on bone, now has pain; I am not able to flex it much at all without severe pain. This is my second experience with Euflexxa. I had the series of shots 5years ago. That first series was similar; I experienced a much higher level of pain in both knees, to the point that one day after the final injection I found myself unable to put weight on my right leg. I have had osteoarthritis since my first dislocation at the age of 12. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome so dislocations and pain have just been part of my life. My 3 injections of Euflexxa were relatively painless, some discomfort during the numbing injection. The amount of pain relief I am feeling now makes it worth it. I have heard that the injections don't necessarily work for everyone but they certainly helped me.

My orthopedic recommended this after Cortisone cause my BP to skyrocket and only lasted a few weeks. Now I am a severe needle phobic so I was not thrilled at the thought of 3 shots. My orthopedic talked me through the entire process. He used numbing spray and I really felt very little when the needle was inserted. There was pressure and a sting when the needle was removed. After effects were soreness and swelling which went away with ice. By the time my second shot was due my pain was greatly diminished and I was able to do stairs again. Just received my last round of Euflexxa injections this morning and resting. I am so grateful for this medicine, before the shots my knees hurt just walking. After 2 wks & 2 injections I traveled to Paris and walked throughout the city & Disney with little pain and actually enjoyed myself! I hope I continue to improve. As another reviewer mentioned, the bad reviews scared me but this medicine has been effective for me. Definitely worth a “shot”, lol.

My doctor using a numbing spray before injection. I've used this treatment for years. Now I can go as long as 8-9 months between injections. Efflexa is not meant to be a cure but a treatment for pain relief. I certainly wouldn't go back to the activities which wore out my knees in the first place because I feel better. The problem is still there.

62 yr old male, play hockey a couple of times a week, played football in college and am a former Marine officer. I had a partial meniscectomy of left knee in 1996. I started HA injections (Euflexxa) in 2010. I have had 6 series of 3 injections over the year. Sometimes it works for a couple of years, other times just a year or slightly less. The level of pain during injection is totally related to the technique used. Ultra sound guided is best and which portal used is important as well. Superolateral is best for me. Inferomedial is a no go. It doesnt work for everyone. I am just one of the lucky ones.Read More Read Less

I had meniscus surgery in November 2021. Not much relief so my doctor suggested gel injections. Desperate for pain relief I agreed to take the injections. It was the most painful injection with numbing medicine that I have ever had. I have yet to get any relief. The therapy didn't work for me at all. My only option now is a knee replacement. I was hoping, but it didn't work. I'm not saying that it's a bad option, just didn't work for me. And it was painful, very painful. But that too could have been because of my injury. I have been getting these shots for about 3 years now. Work great for me I also have bone spurs in both knees. I get these shots to keep from getting another surgery. I do not want another surgery. For anything. I am a 68 year old female and I work as a security officer. At least I can sit down at work.

Xrays showed that I have a bone on bone condition in my due to absence of cartilage, I got my first series of 3 injections in January 2021. It have been very effective, and I have not needed to take Advil even once in the last year. Recently I've started to feel some disomfort, so I am getting the series of 3 injections again. I'm really very pleased at how much relief I got from the first series of injections..

I am a 58 year old male with osteoarthritis in my right knee. When I was 18 years old I had surgery on my right knee to remove what the dr said was a “fibroma.” Actually it consisted of fibrous tissue that caused a painful lump on the top outside of my knee. Like I said this was removed at age 18. Throughout the years I always had pain in this knee. I participated in sports and have worked construction all my life. Because of the diagnosis of osteoarthritis and acute pain the knee has been drained of fluid, underwent 2 arthroscopics where the knee was cleaned up. Afterwards and due to continued pain the knee was injected appropriately 6 times over a three year period with cortisone. Cortisone worked great but it wore off rather quickly. So, I decided to have the three Euflexxa injections. I read all the reviews I could find prior to deciding to go forward. Most were negative put others positive. My experience with shot #1 was immediate relief in small amounts. Shot #2 again immediate relief in further small amounts. Shot #3 was further pain relief. I got the 3 exfluxa shots in both knees. Getting the shots were extremely painful!! It’s been almost 2 weeks since last shot. Both of my knees are worse. So much pain . Cannot go up steps they hurt so much. I have had steroid injections before and they worked. Waiting for the dr. to call to see what we can do! So upsetting ??
