I have recurrent sinus infections/problems, and my ENT recommended this drug for me. It breaks up phlegm, clears my sinuses, and helps me to breathe more freely through my nose. I highly recommend it.

This medicine has caused me alot of grief. I highly suggest to read all of the reviews and all of the information on this product before taking it. I failed to do that and I blacked out while driving and wrecked my car. You always hear how good Mucinex is but I can promise you that I will never take it again. I have had a chest x-ray, cat scan and lots of blood work and everything was good. ...

I have bad sinus problems and my doctor suggested I take this med to clear congestion. It works great, however, the 2 pills I took a few hours before going to bed, kept me from sleeping well. I will take this med only in the morning.

This is the only mucus-thinning medication that doesn't give me that "foggy-head" feeling.

This medication has worked for my son and I. I always recomend it to my friends and family. I suppose it depends on an individuals symptoms and health conditions, on whether it will work or not. We usually just have allergies that create congestion and use of this medication prevents further illness, while clearing up congestion from sinus problems. The pills are rather large and might be difficult for some patients to swallow but overall I am satisfied.

My doctor recomended this for my recent broncitis. Like most of the cold relief drugs it did nothing for me. It was supposed to help make my coughs more productive, and it didn't. I didn't cough any more or less, and when I did I still had about the same results.

I took the maximum 2 pills this morning at 9:00 a.m. I felt shaky & spacey all day.... by 3:00 p.m. I had to go to sleep and also felt nauseated. I woke up after a 2 hour nap feeling much better but still out-of-it mentally. Sinuses feel good though although next time I will only take 1 tablet.

My doctor recommended this medication. It help clear up my congestion. I can breath again. The side effect I had was not sleeping and leg cramps during the night. I drink lots of water during the day and still had problems with my legs. I can only take this medication early morning.

I have chest congestion and my doctor told me to take Mucinex D. It has done nothing for the congestion but I am now coughing even more than before, though they aren't at all productive. I didn't have sinus congestion before and I still don't, which may or may not be due to the Mucinex...

I constantly have sinus drainage which in return turns into bronchitis, mucinex works great i cough my head off but it is better than my chest being tight with congestion.

I had minor cold symptoms before this drug was prescribed to me yesterday. I just wanted to prevent suffering from cold symptoms the best I could. Now its 3:40 a.m. and my throat is raw from coughing up mucus all evening. I would honestly rather have a cold.

This medicine does work to loosen up mucus, if you can get past the smell and like another reviewer stated, I too have to drink it with soda real fast. It stinks and tastes terrible! But it works and thats what matters.

it definitely dries you out, but I would not reccomend taking it at night. As soon as I started to fall asleep I'd start coughing. Though coughing wasn't very frequent.Deffinitely a daytime med. Also interesting note, max strength is the same dose in mg's as regular, except you are taking one pill versus two. If you read the doasage it's equal. You are better off buying max, you get more doses. It deffinitely raised my heart rate. After being on it for 48 hours I switched back to my sinus decongestant of the same mg's and let the cough take it's course. I wanted to sleep again. Read More Read Less

It did what it was supposed to. the only problem was that it makes my nose so dry that I get constant nose bleeds that last for 30 minutes or longer.

This is the only medication that works on my sinuses and prevents a cold from turning into an infection. However, I usually need melatonin if I take the recommended 2 in am and 2 in pm. Generally I take 2 in the am and that's it. Because the pills smell and taste so repugnant I have to pop them with soda so I can't taste them. I usually get somewhat light-headed, minor headaches, and trouble sleeping with prolonged use. However, since nothing else works, I continue to take it when I've got headcolds, and feel that the benefits outweigh the problems.Read More Read Less

This has been the best cold medicine I have ever used. If I take it in the morning it last all day. It keeps me alert, and clears my sinuses. Don't take it at night, as it may cause sleeplessness.

i have problems with my ears. i was directed to take this medicine. it is almost the same as pseudovent. which controls my ear drainage. this put me to sleep for 2 days. if you don't mind the sleep or have the time off from work to use it do so. i personally don't want to see what it does on a regular basis.
