My doctor only gives me 20 pills a year to help with sleeping on out-of-town trips, usually 1-2 nights less than monthly. I occsionally use one if I have trouble falling asleep at home, which is rare. They have always worked well for me except for the occasional mild headache. I took one Christmas night 2014, though, and have been groggy and sleepy for two full days. I'm hoping I will be back to normal tomorrow. My edlery mother takes this brand nightly and has complained for years about being fuzzy-headed, tired, and sleepy, never knwoing why. Now I suspect it is terazepam. I will be checking with my doctor.Read More Read Less

I have insomnia ive tried ambien 10mg and it helped for a little while maybe a few months then completely stopped working out of no where and he's tried me on klonpin that didnt work either. My doctor put me on Restoril 30mg and it doesnt do a thing for me i even tried taking 2 of the 30mg capsules and still have gotten no result and 30mg is the highest dosage. Can anyone Make a suggestion on another sleeping pill.

Had been on Ambien for years but lately had given me only 2 hrs sleep at best. Have been on 15 mg Restoril for 3 nights & whilst it gives me about 5-6 hrs sleep, I feel drugged out all day & could go back to sleep. Wish there was a lower dose. Any suggestions?

I am bi-polar and take medication. I was given Restoril for panic disorder-ON LABLE. I am coming off of it because of side effects. every consumer needs to question their doctor, this drug should not be given for sleep;it is too dangerous especially for older people. It should only be used for 30 days. Why is it being used Off Label?

First night taking 15 mg Restoril at 11 PM. It is 5 AM and I am still awake!!! Have been on Ambian for 1 year. It works 2-3 hours after I take it. I need it to fall asleep but get 7-8 hours afterward. Maybe I have a withdrawal from Ambian after one night not taking it. I will talk to Doctor but am going back to Ambian.

Three years of not sleeping, finally this is working for me, 15mg. Ambien and Trazodone (Desyrel) didn't work for me at all. Took this med for about 45 days straight and started to worry about excessive usage. So I am taking one every other day. But do have questions for reviewers. None of he reviewers mentioned occasional (2-3 times a weeek) wine/beer before taking this drug. I usually give about 2-3 hours before I take the med. Any thoughts out there? I DO KNOW MEDS AND ALCOHOLS DO NOT MIX AS DRIVING. But does occasionaly drinking in small quantity still bad to mix with this?Read More Read Less

I wish my doctor would have prescribed this one to me a long time ago. I have tried all of the ones advertized on TV but none of them have worked. Thank goodness I kept pushing for something to help!

After using Ambien (did nothing) and Seroquel (worked wonders but caused Low QT rhythyms in my heart???), I found Restorial 30 mg. works quite well. Although I must agree with other reviewers in that it doesn't put me out immediately, but when I am ready to go to sleep, I am ABLE to go to sleep. And that, my friends, is the greatest gift of all. YOu know how it is, up alllll night, finally watching the World News Now tv broadcast, which they advertise to insomniacs. Good Lord!!!! I need more sleep than that.....Read More Read Less
