I used to sweat from my scalp and face much more than others, esp. in warm weather, social events, playing golf, etc. I now apply it once a week to my scalp and face, and the sweating has completely come under control. I also had an issue with the Drysol itching after application, but found a very good solution to stop it. I apply Caladryl Clear anti-itch lotion (alcohol based) while the Drysol is...

Much like other reviewers Drysol was a fabulous cure to my sweating problem. I am a woman and I was so embarrassed to sweat from my armpits like I did. I applied Drysol once a month for a year and it was amazing. A little itchy/burning upon application but nothing too horrible. HOWEVER - I noticed that even without using Drysol I had stopped sweating. I haven't used it in over eight months and I d...

Okay, story time: I've always sweat a lot, and it's super embarrassing. I couldn't wear light coloured shirts because I'd have giant pit stains, and after a few wears, the shirts would become stained yellow and were basically ruined. My wardrobe consisted of dark blue, navy, dark grey and black shirts. If I wore any type of coloured shirt, I'd have to wear a black cardigan overtop to make sure no one could see my underarms. It was awful, and I was so self-conscious ALL the time. I've tried every brand of extra strength antiperspirants, and though some work better than others, none worked well enough for me. I was slowly just accepting the fact that I'd be doomed to wearing dark coloured shirts forever. Then I saw an ad for Drysol, and when I looked into it I saw tons of people with similar perspiration issues, saying that this stuff really worked. So I gave it a shot and bought it at my local drugstore. The first night I applied it, it made my underarms SUPER itchy. But it only lasted about an hour, and then went away. I noticed in the morning, my underarms were dry, and stayed dry all day. Seeing results after day one was awesome. The next night, I applied it again, and oh my goodness it burned SO bad, and even left red bumps. I then realised, maybe I wasn't making 100% that I was completely dry before applying. So the night after, I applied again, after ensuring I wash and dried my underarms super well, and waited about 5 minutes after drying, and then dried them AGAIN, just to make sure, and that worked. No itch, no burn, nothing! And I was thrilled. Since then, I just reallllly need to make sure that I am 110% dry, before applying. This works wonders for me. I don't sweat anymore! Something I never thought I'd be able to say. Drysol has been a total life changer for me, and now I'm happy to buy clothing again! I couldn't recommend this product enough! It's wonderful. Just make sure you follow the directions correctly.Read More Read Less

After chemo, I experienced excessive sweating on my head. It was like I always had wet hair. I had to wear a sweatband always or the sweat ran down my face & neck. I first tried Xerac & it helped somewhat, but the Drysol is the best! I apply it about once a week and no more sweating! I love it. Only side effect is a slight itching, but I think it's because I apply the med a little too thick.

Amazing product! Excessive sweating was having such a negative impact on my schooling, career and social life. The embarrassment and awkwardness of not wanting to raise my arms due to insanely sweaty pits. Shying away from certain situations. Wearing layers of clothes to shield the sight of those dark patches of sweat. This product has changed my life. Yes it can cause the occasional redness and itching. Especially with overuse. But the tradeoff? Dryness. Confidence. It's a simple product that can have a profound impact. Try it, and I hope it yields the same results for you!Read More Read Less

As a young female adult, it's always been embarrassing to have such excessive underarm sweat. I work as a veterinary technician, and I had to go buy black scrubs to avoid sweat visibility. I also wanted to appear professional WITHOUT so much underarm sweat. Today is day one of using this product and I applied Drysol improperly. The pharmacist didn't stress the importance of dabbing it on, not rubbing! Read the directions, no matter what! The sweat has been maintained for today however. I sure hope this painful rash goes away soon!Read More Read Less

I first used this product over 20 years ago. I would sweat in my armpits so bad sweat would occasionally run down my sides to my waist. My doctor referred me to a dermatologist to discuss surgery to remove sweat glands. After a long discussion and a consult with a surgeon, Drysol was prescribed. Yes it can burn, sting, itch, but the results are amazing. With the initial trestment, it took a couple of applications to make a significant difference, and after a couple of weeks I was completely sweat free. After my prescription ran out I was able to control sweat with antiperspirants for more than 10 years, but gradually I began to sweat a lot again. I am back on Drysol now and completely dry after the first application. Did I say amazing? When you sweat as bad as I did, finding this product is a game changer. I use the dab top bottle. If you overapply or rub in, you will burn and sting more. I dab on sparingly and get great results. Completely dry. If you get dressed in the morning and embarrassingly sweat through your clothes in a couple of hours like I did you will love this product.Read More Read Less

I have suffered from excessive underarm sweating just about my whole life..I have tried so many different deodorants. Everything from sprays, gels and the so called clinical strength deodorants and nothing came close to helping just ruined all of my shirts to the point to where all I can wear now are tank tops, even in the winter. I finally got an appt with a dermatologist and she suggested Drysol. I have only used it for 3 days and so far I haven't encountered any sweating. I have even been able to wear regular shirts with sleeves lol...that's a huge achievement for me!Read More Read Less

I've experienced really sweaty palms since I was a child, to the point where I could literally see droplets form at my fingertips. Gross, right? I couldn't shake anyone's hand or form close bonds with people, in the fear that they would question my wet hands; which many people did, asking why they were so ''clammy.'' If you know something makes someone insecure why mention it? Shameless people smh... Anyway, I got Drysol from the pharmacy and it worked really well even after the first day. Make sure to apply it to all the area that sweats. After a few days though, the area may appear extremely dry. Then it is safe to use it once a week, or sooner if necessary. Maybe even once every two weeks, if that works. I apply some hand cream, and still no sweat. This product has literally changed my life. I owe everything to this company, so if you're having problems with sweat (hyperhydrosis) I definitely recommend this. My life has been changed forever. Read More Read Less

So in high school over ten years ago I started to sweat really bad under my arms. It was super embarrassing to go through high school with this issue. After trying over the counter products and home remedies I gave up. So my Dr at the time recommended Drysol. I used it for just a few weeks and it worked so good. But then after a few months I noticed my armpits darkening. So I stopped using it. Now about 15 yrs later I've tried so many things to lighten my armpits and nothing works. This stuff did 100% cure my sweaty armpits and I can now freely wear shirts without the sweat marks. But it burned me so bad that I have dark scars for life and still can't walk around freely with tank tops. I guess you can't win them all.Read More Read Less

This stuff is amazing. The very first day I used it, I went on a first date with the girl I have liked for a while now. Although I was incredibly nervous and it being over 100 degrees outside, there was not even a single drop of sweat. The stuff does sting quite a bit at night when you apply it, but it is totally worth it.

Love this stuff! After trying so many other solutions for armpit hyperhidrosis, I resigned to being embarrassed and wearing shirts that would semi-hide my sweat. But then I tried drysol, and it worked INSTANTLY. I glumly suspected my body would adapt or react, but it hasn't for over a year now. I apply it in small quantities only about twice a month (any more and I get itchy/rashy.) I wear whatever tops I want, and stretch my arms out whenever I desire!

Wow. I didn't know any product like this existed, or I would've used it ten years ago when sweating began to be a problem for me. I was always shy, but sweating made me even more self-conscious and probably led to a severe lack of social skills, all because of this tiny, stupid problem! A few months ago it struck me that I should research the options again, and this time I heard about Drysol. I immediately ordered it from Walmart and it was AMAZING. It burns and itches about 50% of the time I use it, although I am careful to avoid using it after shaving (OWWW, DON'T DO THAT EVER)! But it has made me more confident and much happier. I will buy it for life! Read More Read Less

I had been sweating in my armpits so much that first I had got botox to stop the excessiveness which had worked the first round but not well the second and was extremely expensive. Then I found out about Drysol and it has helped me tremendously. I also referred it to my friend who had a milder problem than myself and he is very happy with it too. Once you get passed the initial slight discomfort of course.

As a female, I was horrified to see myself in a picture with "pitters"! I talked to my doctor, and she prescribed Drysol. It has been a blessing, and I no longer have to worry about my excessive sweating! Super happy with the results.

Out of no where I noticed that I was always sweating through my shirts in the armpit region. Even when I just got out of the shower and put a shirt on I would almost instantly pit out. I was prescribed Drysol and it truly has been a life saver. The itching was uncomfortable at the start but I don't even notice it now. Putting it on twice a week. I did initially make the mistake of putting on antiperspirant instead of plain deodorant. This caused a massive breakout. It went away in a few days and now with regular deodorant I have no problems. I have noticed that my body odor is slightly worse now with it, but this is an easy fix. I just carry a stick of deodorant in my car. Read More Read Less

I sweat excessively from my scalp in summer and winter to the point my hair would be dripping wet. It Was hard to go to places and look cool and confident such as parties and resturants. I placed on scalp for three nights and the rest of the week it was 100+ degrees each day and I did not sweat. For 52 years I have been looking for an answer to my prayers and now I have it . This stuff is great.
