I have IBS and take metamucil 3x/day. It has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! Not only do I have clean, smooth bowel movements, metamucil has been extremely beneficial for my digestive system. Foods no longer give me stomach aches and I am no longer constipated! Trust me when I say this stuff is truly the miracle I needed to feel good everyday. It taste great! No gritty and grainy drink at all.

Metamucil is okay, it works alright, but my biggest problem with it is how hard it is to take. I just don't like it. I use Fiberstir. It's the best fiber I've ever used. You can put it in any food or drink.

I began taking Metamucil to treat my frequent but small bm's accompanied with rectal bleeding and a great deal of pain. The symptoms dissapeared in three days. I have, however, noticed a mild, itchy rash develop on my arms and torso.

I am the spouse of a user of metamucil. The product was recommended as part of a weight loss program. Patient went from 386, to 245 in less than two years. Has now developed psoriasis, or cellusitis(?) over the entire body. Could this have happened with the prolonged use of metamucil?

The capsules are not as good as the powder but I can't use it because it makes my throat hurt and it bothers my stomach.

i have severe IBS and the tablets are the only form of relief i have experienced. i take 2 upon waking up and one before tea, but i am unsure whever to increase or decrease my amount. I also get very hungry half an hour after taking them.

I feel much better when I remember to take it. It is easy to mix and tastes good with water (I use the Orange flavor) I need to take it on a regular basis to avoid the discomfort..
