I have never felt so sick with sweeling, back pain and burning in my hand and legs. do not take this medicine, I now live on a heating pad for this pain.

stops stomach cramps

my physician prescribed this med for me after I spent an evening on the emergency room floor writhing in pain from acute gastritis. we both agreed that one time was one too many!

I tried this pill before lunch for 4 days . Did not help , actually made my stomach hurt worse and for a longer period of time . The side effects were pretty bad also ,severe dry mouth and throat , dried my sinuses out so bad that they were bleeding . Severe migraine headaches about day 2 . Dizziness when standing up . Overall fatigue and feeling worse than before the pills . Still had diarhhea after eating and severe gas pain in colon . It has been a few days off of the pill and still have occasional dry mouth and throat , hopefully will go away soon.Read More Read Less

Just started today.

Had ulcers from NSAID reaction from 2004. Ever since then had constipation and diarrhea at the same time. This relieves the constipation which was the main concern. The only thing that has helped at all.

I am related to someone who is taking this medication. Their personality is changing before my eys. They have unpredictable violent mood swings over nothing. Has anybod y else had this problem.

I suffer from IBS and severe Hyperhidrosis (extreme sweating). The sweating is the reason my doctor prescribed this for me. I went ahead an gave it five stars even tho I am just now getting ready to start taking it. I have read reviews and see no one else with my problem. So I will give it a week or two and report back. If anyone else takes it for this reason please post something so that I can get some feedback on that issue. Thanks!

I have IBS and this little pill is a miracle pill. As long as I take it before meals. The only problem I have with this drug is that if it has been less than an hour since I ate, it doesn't work and makes things worse. Otherwise, the pain is gone instantly within dissolving under the tongue.

This medication has worked like a charm for me, however I do get extremely dry mouth, nose, eyes, etc. I just had an aha moment this morning and realized that I am having some of the "severe" side affects. My eyes have been extremely dry and very painful. Thought it was me just getting older but I can't even rub my eyes, they hurt so bad. I am afraid to change prescriptions because this works so well.

I have had unexplained, "multiple multiple times per day" diarrhea. Tests never found the cause. I tried the BRAT diet. Nothing helped. The normal anti-diarrheal meds did not help. I had weight loss because evrything I ate ended up causing diarrhea. I didn't have a life because of this. After several months when I finally told my doctor I couldn't take anymore he prescribed hyoscyamine. It was like a miracle drug! It started working right away to stop the diarrhea. I have been on it since. I do have times when I will still have unexplained diarrhea, but they are random and infrequent. The only side effects I have are an occasional dry mouth. I HAD BEEN GIVEN THIS DRUG BY MY GI TO HELP COMBAT DIAREAR AND PAINFUL GALLSTONE. AFTER WHAT, 5 MONTHS STILL NOT HELPING IN THE LEAST. NEXT APPT ITS TIME FOR SURGERY TO BUST THESE STONES BECAUSE I DESPISE CRANBERRY JUICE IN ANY FORM

It has eased my syptoms, but I have experienced side effects (dizziness, blurred vision, lack of concentration). May have to consider stopping it

Prescribed to take as needed up to 4 times a day. Have taken 2-3 times/day. Helped the diarrhea and the uneasy abdominal feeling I had, but bladder has been hurting the past few days, I'm wondering if it is a side effect of this drug. Seem to be getting blurred vision today, having trouble concentrating on work.

It helps control bowel movement, but lost taste and nauseated.

I started on this when the doc swore that I only had IBS...its really microscopic colitis. The hyoscyamine did not help much on its own, but combo'ed with other meds it has help my diarrhea.
