I call it my "happy ring". I am on my 4th one at the end of a year. I am 71 yrs. old and had a hysterectomy in l991. Vaginal dryness made intercourse intolerable. This solved all of my problems. I do not need to remove it during relations, and there is plenty of lubrication and no discomfort whatsoever. It is a miracle ring.

I tried the the Estring to relieve dryness and vaginal atrophia. I have had a hysterectomy and since i have used a diaphragm before, I thought this would work for me. It is very uncomfortable especially while sitting. It feels like low level cramping and really uncomfortable during bowel movements. I tried repositioning it but it reverts up behind the pelvic bone and increases pressure. After...

very painful to insert, I removed & tried several times. No matter I could feel it & it was very uncomfortable. The directions said to expect a discharge which I had but it was very annoying. I had to wear a panty liner. I did not try to have sex while using it, I can not imagine how painful that would be. this was definitely not for me. I had to pay $70.00 with insurance & I threw it away after 2 weeks.

I could not use it. The ring is HUGE. There is no way to place it where it is comfortable.

There seems to be variance in the quality of the rings. On one occasion, a ring continued for another month (I can detect when the active ingredient is low) and another time, the ring didn't work from the get-go. It is very frustrating to not have consistency -- one of the reasons I chose the ring over cream.

I was having dryness and loss of tissue. I haven't actually had sex yet, but I believe the ring would be felt when I do and plan to remove it. I can tell i have atrophe because it doesn't go up very high before my closed vaginal canal (after hysterectomy and removed cervix) stops well before it seems the diagram said the ring would lay. I was aware of it the first week and was surprised how difficult it was to fold and insert. However, I feel great and notice a difference with dryness. I even feel like it makes orgasms more powerful because it acts like a hard resistance for the vaginal walls. I love that I don't have to remember to take anything and plan on using the coupon when refilling the prescription. I always fluctuate up and down 5 pounds in weight, so I can't tell if it's the medication. I carrying case for removal during sex would be helpful. Read More Read Less

Before trying estring, I suffered from vaginal atrophy. After 5-6 weeks on estring there was a noticable improvement and after a few months I was enjoying comfortable sex again. This medication has been a fife changer. I definitely recommend trying it if you have severe vaginal dryness. I was afraid I would not have a healthy sex life again, but thanks to Estring, I do. The only side effect I have noticed after six month of use is a little peach fuzz on my face, but I'll take the trade off!Read More Read Less

I could not start introducing it because it was painful, not flexible, it is very thick. Don't buy it if you can't try it. I lost 135 and I lost the trust in my Dr. It is not similar to diafragm, not at all.

I just got my estring. I used the coupon that came with it. I call the # and the first person I talked to said I wasn't qualified...I called back and got another person..who authorized it and only paid $15 for it. I just inserted with no problem and so far don't feel it. I'm wondering if my partner will be able to fill it..

I am 70 years old and had severe uretha pain and burning. Since having the Estring placed in the vagina, I have positive feedback. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was on vagifem which worked "fine" but my insurance stopped covering it so it went up to over $200 per month. My doctytjen told me to try Estring. I was a little leery of having something inside of me. However, even though vagifem made things better, Estring has made me feel like I never even went into menopause! I feel so comfortable and sex is better than it has been in years!

I was using Vagifem, which was much better than when I wasn't using anything. My insurance stopped covering Vagifem so my doctor recommended I try Estring. I feel much better than when I was using Vagifem. Everything seems so "normal" and sex is great! I wasn't sure I'd feel comfortable with something up inside of me, but I can't feel it at all. Its a life changer!

I have used this for over 2 years and it works well. I do have some weird tingling in the breast area and have cramping for a couple days after insertion. It works well and has improved our sex life and vaginal discomfort. The cost goes up every time I purchase it. A three month supply (with a coupon) was 350.00 this last time. It is getting prohibitive. I gained abt 5 lbs while using.

I am 60 and have used estring for 2 years. It has really helped with dryness, itching and discomfort during sex. It requires less work than syringes of cream I was using and is not messy. I have a little trouble getting the ring out at the end of three months, but overall effective.

I was on Premarin cream and switched to this because I thought it would work the same with less mess and hassle. I was so wrong. Sure it's easy to use. but.. It did NOT work. My vaginal dryness and soreness came back and got worse after just one month on it. After two months I took it out and went back to the messy Premarin cream and after two weeks back on it I am back to being good. No itchy vagina, no tenderness, no pain with sex and no burning vaginal tissue. I do not recommend this for woman. I am SO disappointed !! I also want to know why as woman this is it, two choices!!! I have used this for over 5 years and it has been very effective and easy to use. Not sure where you went but Walgreens accepted my $15 coupon; manager needed to call 800 number on card and ring up my prescription but I never paid more than $15.

Within 24 hours of inserting the estring, severe hip pain. I felt pain in my upper stomach, some nausea a overall feeling of malaise, just felt under the weather and exhausted, but the biggest side effect was the sharp pain in my right hip. I could hardly walk or lean on my leg or even turn over in bed without extreme pain. I took it out after 48 hours. The hip pain subsided within 24 hours and all other symptoms disappeared. In addition it was extremely difficult to remove. I couldn't reach it to get my finger around it. Took about 25 minutes to finally get it out. I cannot use this product. Read More Read Less
