I've been on VyVanse (60mg) for 5 months now. I have been able to compare the medication in 2 different scenarios during this time. For 4 of the months, I was working 40 hours a week landscaping. Prior to the meds, I had constant racing thoughts and never seemed to be able to focus on something long enough to finish it. The meds stopped the racing thoughts and seemed to "zone me in" on the tas...

I’ve never felt worse on ADD medication. The fact that this generic mixture was approved by our government is alarming to me. There’s a crisis for those with ADD and the pharmaceutical companies and Insurance companies are the only winners in this. I will pay $400 a month for branded next time and not go through insurance. Really shocked that a medication that is 0% effective and only has downside could be approved by the US government. We need a thorough investigation into what happened here

The generic form of Vyvanse is terrible and a huge disappointment. . It caused me to be unfocused , drowsy, and caused intermittent rapid heart beat . Threw the full bottle away after trying it for a week. Will gladly pay the high price for Vyvanse again.

Brand name vyvanse helped TREMENDOUSLY WITH BED, the generic which I was switched to unbeknownst to me, had the opposite effect!! I craved carbs terribly and got terrible headaches, fatigue, depression , paranoia, and chest and left arm pains that made me feel like I was having a heart attack!!!! The makers of this GENERIC POISON should be in jail. I am horrified that I wasn’t informed and amazingly, the awful symptoms all went away after stopping this generic. The brand name is fantastic and am now back on it. My insurance no longer covers it though because they claim the generic is “just the same as the brand name.” What a scam! Read More Read Less

The brand name worked great! My pharmacy actually started giving me the generic UNBEKNOWST TO ME EVENTHOUGH the doc prescribed the brand name. !! I thought something was terribly wrong with me or perhaps the doc perscribed a placebo!!! I was getting terrible headaches, depressed, craving carbs like crazy without control , sleepy and yet anxiously alert like a caged animal. I stopped taking it and started to feel better!!!!! So upsetting that insurance no longer covers the brand name, which works VERY VERY WELL !! I have to think , can I afford 468 dollars a month or figure out another medication. The generic is a sloppy terrible version of the real deal. Read More Read Less

This does not work anywhere near as well as the name brand. I was on 40 mg of Vyvanse and got switched to 50 of the generic. I could immediately tell the difference. All of my friends on the meds have said the same thing.

Name brand Vyvanse changed my life! I didn't realize just how much so until I had to switch the generic. I was prescribed for BED, but discovered it helped with so many symptoms of undiagnosed ADHD. I had peace and hope instead of endless brain chatter, I lost 35lbs over the course of about year, gained 10 back just in the 1 month on generic. I'm more anxious, irritable, overwhelmed, unable to focus and now I'm beginning to feel depressed and hopless. I thought I was crazy until I read all these reviews that absolutely nail it! The generic is NOT even comparable. Read More Read Less

I was switched to generic without my knowledge within a few days of my father dying, so even though I felt different, I chalked it up to grief. I thought I'd give the generic a fair shot since I wasn't sure if the low bass pulse and high pitch ringing in my ears, the disillusionment, severe brain fog, worsening inattentiveness, fatigue (oh God, the fatigue), apathy, and/or the headaches were related to the medication or the grief. As of now, I'm pretty sure that it was the medication the entire time and that the generic vyvanse actually made my grief WORSE. If you're a Healthcare provider and you're reading this, don't be a Richard and do this to one of your patients... in fact, don't prescribe this generic garbage at all. It's an underhanded move.Read More Read Less

The generic is absolutely horrible. It somehow makes me feel jittery and extremely drowsy simultaneously (not sure how they managed that, it’s bad to the point of being almost impressive). Nausea, dizziness, light-headedness—I didn’t realize I had been switched until a few days of these symptoms. Avoid and try to remain on name brand.

I was excited when the generic version of Vyvance became available because my insurance does not cover the brand name. I have never taken the brand name so I cannot compare it. My experience seems similar to other reviews. I feel no effect. In fact, I feel no movivation, slightly depressed, and have a headache. I will be switching back to Zenzedi.

Vyvanse has been great in helping me. A life changer. The generic made. Me sick and did nothing else. Paying a lot more money now for the name brand.

Generic version is horrible. Delivery mechanisms not even close to the brand name. I felt extremely lethargic and depressed after taking this drug and had to endure it for a month since I couldn’t legally pick up the brand name any sooner. Now I have to pay full price for the brand name to avoid putting this dangerous substance in my system. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the dollar savings if it makes you feel this bad.

I started taking the generic vyvanse 6-7 days ago, and it does not work! Aside from that, it's made me so sick (nausea, diarrhea, mild headache, etc), generally, I feel horrid since a few days after starting the generic. I'd also asked another family member, who had also been forced to switch to the generic for reasons of cost, and he'd also said the generic does not work & was also making him sick. I thought generics were supposed to contain the same amount of the active ingredient as the name brand and the inactive ingredients were allowed to be different? Evidently, that's not true.Read More Read Less

I've been taking Vyvanse for over 10 years and my pharmacy switched me to the generic without telling me. 2 days into taking it I was feeling like I'd never taken it at all with bad headaches and looked at the bottle to find the generic name on the bottle and was furious. Its not effective at all!!

I took the name brand Vyvanse for 5-6 years. Since switching to the generic version last month, my ADHD symptoms are off the charts. Throughout the day I am sleepy, unmotivated, and extremely scatterbrained, and I am irritable and extra hungry in the evenings. I get a headache, body chills, and a hot / burning sensation in my face about an hour or so after taking it. At first I thought I was coming down with the flu until I realized it was the medication. I’ve asked my doctor to write my next prescription for the name brand, and hopefully insurance will pay. Read More Read Less
