While normal eye drops didn't help me, because the doctor said my problem was not so much the lack of tears as the lack of lubricant in the tears. I had been using Oasis Tears Plus, which did help when used every 3-4 hours, but they are expensive and hard to find. I saw a coupon for the Bausch & Lomb SootheXP and decided to try them. Soothe XP is suppose to make your eyes feel better, not worse. I only used 1 drop and my eyes are burning. Will not use again.

I normally use Systane Balance. My doctor has told me tears (real and artificial) evaporate more quickly because the lipid output of my meibomian glands is impaired. The attraction of Soothe XP is the promoted lipid restoration. Result of Soothe XP use: significantly increased blurriness of vision in both eyes (immediately and over six-hour period). I do not intend to use the product again.

I have suffered with sever dry eyes for a few years. I'm currently using restasis 2x a day. I switched back to that after a failed run with xiidra. I've also had punctual plugs,. Expensive, and pop out easily. I use Refresh nighttime, and Systane PM, a thicker Vaseline like gel at night. My eyes are so bad I was told by my doctor to use non preservative drops every hour or more as needed. I use the nighttime gel then put on a hot compress to get relief. I do that often when I am home. So, Not good! I was out shopping and forgot my single use drops so I grabbed these drops in a pinch to get me home as I saw they help the lipid layer. I'm Very impressed at the relief I felt! My eyes have not had the gritty feeling since using. I will continue to use these drops. I'm having to use them fewer times during the day. Will also continue my other routines but am thankful for these drops and the daytime relief they give me!Read More Read Less

For me, this is great. I no longer get up in the morning with sore dry eyes nor is the skin around my eyes tender, as it was with the other eye drops. And SootheXP is a good deal cheaper than the Oasis TearsPlus drops. I'm really surprised that there are so many negative reviews. I've had no burning, not discomfort.Read More Read Less

These drops burn in my eyes, even though I'm only using 1 drop per eye as directed. They actually make my eyes more uncomfortable than prior to using them. I definitely can't recommend this product.

Was given these drops and told to use them 4 times a day for floppy eye syndrome. Just after the first times it burned so bad I ran to splash cold water in my eyes. I tried it again later and the same thing happened. Burning and stinging with absolutely no relief. I don t recommend this product.

I recently started having night-time driness causing my eyes to stick to my eyelids in the morning, in addition to mild symptoms during the day. First, I tried house brand "compare to Systane Ultra" drops, but they didn't seem to do much of anything at all. BTW, other than having the same "active" ingredients, they were NOT the same as Systane Ultra. Then I tried actual Systane Balance, and at first it seemed to soothe the driness for a little while, but then my eyes would be more irritated afterward. At nighttime, my eyes were sticking less tightly but were still sticking in the morning. Next I bought a package of Soothe XP and a box of Retaine MGD. I haven't tried the Retaine MGD because the Soothe XP is working for me. The Soothe XP has the same preservative as the Systane products, and the first few times that I used it, I noticed a slight irritation about 10 minutes after instillation, but it passed. The first few times I used it, my eyes did not stick (yay!). The did feel dry as in the tear film felt thick, but there was no irritation, friction, abrasion, foreign body sensation, pain, or any of the rest, and after a few minutes of blinking and rubbing the crud out of my eyes, my eyes were more or less normal. Now I use the Soothe XP every night, whether I think I need it or not. I have had no recurrence of sticking eyes, no more irritation from the preservative, and I'm very happy. BTW, I have not had my dry eyes diagnosed, but I've had them off and on for decades. I was unable to tolerate wearing contact lenses in the 1980's because of dry eyes, and back then I was placing drops every 20 minutes all day. I suspect my dry eyes are evaporative in nature.Read More Read Less

Immediate blurred vision for several minutes after using. No relief from dry eyes. Actually made eyes even drier and more uncomfortable.

I have really dry eyes so I dicided to buy Soothe XP. I Hate it! It feels like it works because I got a slight burn when I dropped it into my eyes, however, I got no dry eye releif. All I got was headaches. I kept using it because at first, I though the headache had nothing to do with the product. I kept getting the aches but I finally had enough when I started having migranes! As soon as I stopped using it, all the headaches were gone. DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I have dry eyes and was given this by my eye doctor. I was told to use 4 times a day and it immediately burned, thinking my eyes were very dry. Used for 3 days and started getting headackes, eyes felt more itchey and hurt. Called Sooth XP 800 line and described my reaction and was told to discontinue use. Research, research, research which I am doing now before I put anything in my eyes. Sooth XP was not a good experience.

my Doctor gave this medicine to use for my dry eyes. after 3 days i noticed my eyes were red, i had headaches, swelling around the eyes and nose.I was not having any problems before i started taking this, except the dry eyes. When ever i start taking a new medicine and i have side effects, i stop taking everything wait a couple of days and then add whatever medicine i am on,one at time. When i added the Soothe XP the same things started happening again. When i stopped taking it my condition improved. I will never take this again I am wondering why my Doctor did not warn me of side effects.I would not recommend this to anyone.Read More Read Less

Used it twice and noticed my eye lids became tender to the touch. Found out it had caused an oil gland in my eye to clog. Will not use again and I do not recommend anyone else use it.

These drops do not feel soothing to me. They cause more irratation and I don't like the milky vision I have when I first put the drops in my eyes.

I experienced increased burning. I continued to use it, thinking I had to give it time to work. After 3 months I noticed swelling of my eyelids and discontinued it's use.
