About 5 years ago I herniated my L5-S1 disk and after two and a half of years recovered from it after surgery, therapy, etc. I went about 6 months pain free and then lifted something wrong and hurt my back again. I went about 7 months dealing with chronic low back pain eventually giving up on vicodin after it lost its effectiveness. I didn’t want to ask for anything stronger and my doctors seem...

I broke my wrist and was first given hydrocodne and it worked really well. Then when my cast was taken off the doctor gave me this medicine and it wasn't worth crap. I couldn't even tell I took it over half the time.

I have been using Ryzolt for around 6 months now for chronic pelvic pain. I found it much more effective than the comparable Ultram ER. Downsides are nausea and lightheadedness. Also must be taken on a regular scheduled time every day because withdrawl symptoms happen relatively fast and are miserable. I have found when taken on a full stomach the nausea is greatly reduced.

I was prescribed this medication for chronic back pain and arthritis of the knees, in hopes that we would not have to increase my daily Lorcet dose from 2 to 3 pills. Unfortunately, this has done no good whatsoever; it has been like taking a sugar pill but without the placebo effect. I read about relatively low doses of this medicine controlling people's pain effectively, and I've even read about people getting addicted to it. I honestly can't say I understand how something that has such little-to-no effect on me can have such a strong impact on others. The only effect I ever noticed when I took tramadol (regular release form) was that it seemed to make my anti-anxiety medicine work a little better for a while. Read More Read Less

I was t-boned in a car accident 5 years ago and suffering ever since. My Pain Doctor had me try this about 1 month ago. It was awesome and alleviated the pain "rollercoaster" I was always on trying to manage my pain. The sad and only problem is that I seem to be allergic to it as I am with all of the codeine products. It causes me INTENSE itching to the point of Benedryl, Zyrtec, and Claritin not touching it. So we will go back to the misery of living without this wonderful pain reliever.

I have a bone spur on my vertabrae causing a lot of pain in my neck and shoulders. Because I am young still the neurosurgeon wanted to avoid surgery so I use this and Cymbalta together to make life liveable again. I can sleep and function normally whereas before I was living on maybe an hour of sleep a day.

I have adverse reactions to narcotics. One pill of this haunted me for 48 hours. Too close to a narcotic for me to take.

Ryzolt is a big let-down. My pain has increased, muscle, joint and bone pain is again driving me to insanity. My life is worth nothing when pain is so intense and this stuff is a real joke.I want to go back to the Oxy, or anything else!
